At this point, and if I have this wrong, please feel free to correct me, we have it set as having the ZS marking on both sides as the default. If you want it blank or you want something lasered on the other side, you will be contacting them directly with the requests and working out the text/image with them. Again, I need to ask, Do I set up a new thread soon to start the "I am buying x number" count? Or will we be doing this on an individual basis directly with QD? Let me know, as I have not done a group buy on here before, and don't know what is normal.

If you are ordering one in our standard anodizing color of black, od green, or gun metal gray there is no additional charge. Also be advised if you intend to add laser marking to the right side mag well, we are NOT able to laser mark the gun metal gray color. The is not enough dye in the anodizing for the laser to react with.

OK, I'm thick , explain please... if I'm getting gray I can only have the left size ZS, I can't have *anything* on the right?

Generally one person goes to the guys selling the lowers (once everything has been worked out) and says "we're buying X amount of lowers" -- mostly organized via PM (we PM him, or leave it in the thread) by the person handling the group buy. This includes any ones that differ from the standard, IE: not black anodized and done with whatever we want on the other magwell.

This thread is fine, there shouldn't be a need for yet another one for this particular topic, as far as I can see. But it would be good if there was a count of who wants what, once QD gets everything worked out, then we can give them the "we want this many like this, and this many like this" etc. THEN we deal with payment, either before the lower is made, or after they're in at QD. We should all be capable of contacting QD for our FFLs, directly.

Here is sample I did today. I set my home location a bit too high up on the receiver so ignore the placement. We'll get them centered up for the production run. This was mainly to show the engraving on the logo. One thing I will suggest, instead of doing the ZS logo on the right side of the mag well. I would leave it open so that the people that wanted the bar code or QR code (or anything else) can have that option. We can do those as a secondary laser engraving on a case by case basis. We would charge an additional fee to do them that way though. Your call, just let us know what you decide to do.

I'm in for at least one... depending on how finances look when it's time to pay, maybe two.

You *might* want to make a few more than you actually receive orders for... I can bet that once people start seeing these finished, other folks will suddenly decide they want one, too...

I'm also a big fan of leaving the other side blank so some of us can have our restricted markings and barcode added. Hmmm... maybe time for a new thread to see if there is interest among the four or five of us who wanted that, to see if we can agree to a standardized set of markings to make it easier for you...

Is it possible to get an 80% lower made like this, or are they completely blank when you ship them? I'm looking into the idea of getting one, too, so i can make an AR pistol... apparently it's one of the easier ways to do it here in California... but I'm completely new to the 80% thing and I don't know anything about how it works...

Since QD is willing to do anything we want (within reason) for $20, I don't feel the need for a whole new thread for this, but it's a forum and you're welcome to start one.

I'm SUPER bummed no FDE. Grey but no FDE!!? WTF! FDE is the number one color of AR's built other than black. Also you don't need to chime in about "AR fan boys love FDE" BLAH BLAH BLAH......I live in the desert and it makes the best sense here, a black or green rifle stand out.

I totally agree that FDE would be awesome. We are working with our anodizing shop to get an acceptable FDE color in type III hard anodizing. Hopefully it will happen in the near future.

I totally agree that FDE would be awesome. We are working with our anodizing shop to get an acceptable FDE color in type III hard anodizing. Hopefully it will happen in the near future.

First of all. Someone asked about ffl info. You do not need an ffl for these. Second why not change the poll to how many we want or color or marking or something. Lastly I thought we were doing one side Zs and the other blank unless otherwise stated by end user ?
