Calling all HAMS! Who & Where Are You?

Postby NoAm » Sat Jan 14, 2012 9:41 pm

I think it would be beneficial for us to start a listing of ZS members that are HAMS.
We would love to have you join us in ZS ARC!
The purpose of this thread however, is to see who we have and what area you are in.
Eventually, I would like to use this list to form an Emergency Contact list.
It would be nice to have Chapter Info, if you are involved in one.

Screen Name: sfendt
Call Sign: KD0QLQ
Location: Middle of pasture land, 12 miles south of Strasburg Colorado and about 35 miles East of Denver.
ZS Chapter: ZS012
License Class: General
Misc. Useful Info: - Update 1/27/12 Currently operating 2meter USB & FM, 70cm FM.
I will be joining ZSRC nets on Sunday (17:00 Denver time) through a CRA repeater on 447.575 MHz (-5 MHz offset, 107.2 Hz CTCSS). I cannot use echolink directly, but as a CRA member, can use their repeaters for this function. Anyone in the area of this repeater is invited to join along with me. (Thank you NoAm for finding the IRLP node number that works and testing the connection with me!)
I will be on HF bands as soon as I can get some antennas up - budget and time are my principle limitations, fortunately space and HOA's are not a concern. 10, 20, and 160 meters are my first priorities.
My call sign may be used (proudly) here on ZS where appropriate.

A politician's job they say is very high
