Hampton Roads Meet n' Greet!!

As mentioned in a couple other threads, there are quite a few of us in the Hampton Roads (Tidewater) area and several members have mentioned getting together, socializing, and possibly looking to start a Hampton Roads ZS Chapter.

Kcor_77 has so kindly volunteered this use of his backyard and garage for us to get together for a Meet n' Greet. The focus of the meet and greet is to get to know each other, talk about future meetings/events, and the formation of a new (local) Chapter.

For those that are interested, the proposed date is set for Jan 28 with times and location directions to be sent by PM once attendance has been confirmed.

I'd like to thank kcor_77 for getting the ball rolling on this and look forward to meeting with others from the area.

If you are located on the Southside I can stay as late as 3PM or so, to go to work. If on the Peninsula I'd have to leave earlier .

If we're discussing the realistic possibility of starting a Southeastern VA/Greater Hampton Roads/Tidewater Area chapter, we'll need to at least touch on the charity/community service aspects. Otherwise we'll just be a group of like minded folk getting together to talk and compare notes on preps/camping/shooting/etc/etc. Not that this is a bad thing, but it's not really the focus of ZS chapters.
This is a large part of the reason my wife wants to attend since she's big into the community service/charitable org aspects on ZS and has some experience in organizing events with TCC and such.

I love the idea of actually getting a chapter up and running in our area. Im not as active with posting as I would like to be but thats partially because I prefer face-to-face interaction, and im still relatively new to prepping.
Ive always loved to camp and shoot my bow but since my wife and I live in an apartment archery practice has become slightly less possible. Finding places to camp/shoot should be discussed at the meet and greet. Budget is tight so driving to the mountains every week isn't really possible for me.

I live on what's left of the family farm in Back Bay and I have a place on it where I do my target practice. You would be welcome to come there.
