Any interest in Zombie Squad lowers? (Poll added)

Postby gun toting monkeyboy » Thu Jan 05, 2012 8:26 pm

So, is there any interest in doing a batch of AR 15 lowers with the Zombie Squad logo? Who would we talk to on here about it? Has anybody done a batch of these before? I figured that the price of lowers is so low right now, we might be able to get together a decent group buy on them, and still keep the price to something reasonable with a donation to ZS included in the price. Let me know what you guys think.

We've done 2 batches before. I have a spare one from the last batch. (search to find it). My upper is paint-filled and has never been mounted.

The last few group buys have been so clusterfucked (in terms of coordination, not necessarily product) that I dont think anyone wants to do another one any time soon.

Have at it. Just don't give people a choice in the matter. Design a lower, get a test copy, then tell people the price.
Thanks Anianna!

Here's the process for a ZS lower:

1. pick a vendor
2. Email trademark @ zombiehunters.org and request permission for a license to use the logo
3. get a test lower made
4. take pictures of test lower and take orders.

We could do it on psa lowers. I know where they get theirs laser engraved. A ZS logo should be about $20-30. It's the same place I got mine engraved. Let me know.

If they have been done before and it didn't work out, I am not going to waste time flogging a dead (undead?) horse. No point. I know that when we have done them for Calguns.net, we went with Kaiser/JD Machine. But I know there are also other makers out there that can do the same thing for the same price or less. There is also Quentin Defense, who makes a billet lower that is interesting as well.

I wasn't able to get in on a group buy in the past. I'd be down for one most likely this time.

A simple ZS logo with the box around it on the magwell and safe/semi or safe/fire for the selector switch. Easy enough for me, and if you try this and are able to put ZS badge numbers on them as either the s/n or just engraved somewhere, that may be the last bit of motivation I need to fill out an application and actually become a paying member here lol (I should anyway, I've been dropping the ball bigtime on that)

Interested. The badge number as the s/n is a nice idea.

And what JC highlighted from crypto's hand. I'm betting that plenty of folks would be interested, but seeing what it will look like will be the biggest seller.

I thought you had more sense than to post in a group buy thread again. :)

I am not sure who you had to go down on to get unbanned, but I sure hope that it was worth it.

Don't get too excited. I have a feeling the thread is going to get locked pretty fast and it won't come up again probably.

I'm not sure why this would be locked. There is obviously a lot of interest in a group buy for ZS marked lowers.
