Nice kit,

Would def add a light, consider doing some vacuum packing to conserve room. I saw the Keflez and Amox. Good meds, not really broad spectrum--may be good to put a laminated card with doses and reasons you would use. Also some empty crack bags--small plastic bags to issue a fellow Zombie Squade mate some meds from the bottle of meds---yes you do have really two bottles of Ibuprofen. I would consider buying a few paper packets of Claritan or Zyrtec (non sedating antihistamine).

Since you got two oral ANB that actually have a fairly large amy of folks who are allergic, consider an eppi pen? They go hand in hand if you are not at a hospital dispensing the first dose...

I love the plastic containers.

What if you jumped into a lake with the whole kit? How water proof is it?

Oh yes not a bad idea to toss a Rite in the Rain memo pad with two mechanical pencils....

Just looking at this for the first time, and I don't know much about First Aid, but I do have to ask. Have you rotated out the aspirin yet? The original bottle had a date of 8/11, and it's now almost 1/12.

These bags inspire me to learn more and gather my own kit. I suppose pics of my current setup should be posted soon.

I'm working on a similar project (building a useful FAK on a budget), so this is really awesome to see, and thank you for updating it. I didn't notice when I started reading that the thread was originally from 10/09.

I do keep a mini Mag-lite in there but it's not in the photo. There is a little pen lite in the photo but it's a cheap piece of crap, but it does have pupil measurements on it which is why I keep it. My Doctor friend told me Amoxicillin is a wide spectrum antibiotic, and Keflex is a narrow spectrum. which is why I have both. I do have dosing instructions on the back of each bottle for the most common aliments, including the clap (which made my wife raise an eyebrow).

I do plan to get an Epi-pen but those are kinda expensive and money is tight right now.

I do like the idea of a scratch pad and pen, plus the crack bags for dispensing, I don't know why I didn't think of that.

Also I hadn't thought about the antihistamines but it's a great idea.

Thanks for the feedback and if you have anymore suggestions please feel free to give them.

Hey you stole my dove and quail bag! lol

Nice kit glad to see its getting more comprehensive... I find the build your XYZ for ABC dollars are a great way to get a kit of some sort started!
