A scenareo

what if you were stuck in a car that was out of gas, and 2,000 zombies were almost surrounding you (but there are no openings to get through the zombies), the only things you had were an m16 with 300 rounds, an m9 pistol with 400 rounds, a bowie knife, and 2 pineapple hand grenades. what would you do?

I would call the ATF and turn myself in for possession of explosive devices and the machine gun.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Shit myself and die twice?

Also, wonder why I'm lugging 400 rounds of pistol ammo and grenades.

By the time I was less than a quarter-tank, I would put all priority in finding safer ground before ditching the car; I would not be in the car if the needle hit E, even if there was a little bit left.

But anyway.

The first thing I'd do is wonder how the fuck I found live grenades that have been out of official use since the Vietnam War.

The second thing I'd do is fire that M16 until out of 5.56. At that point, I would then be firing the M9 9mm while throwing one of the grenades out (timing it to explode while about head-level from a straight throw).

Then I'd step out of the vehicle, firing what's left in a new magazine to give me some amount of breathing room while holding the primed grenade.

Save the last bullet to end myself, dropping the grenade.

Not really sure why you'd set up an unsurvivable scenario, but cool.

just some friendly advice as you've been here for 2 days and started 4 new threads omitting your intro thread all about zombies many referring to illegal explosives

Hi and welcome to ZS!

Grenades are rather illegal to own in the US without a tax stamp from the ATF. Even if you did have the magical stamp on ZS we do not talk about explosives.

Rule no 1.
1.) No discussion of illegal activities as a viable option.
We do not condone murder or theft or explosives so we do not appreciate them being promoted on our boards. Other illicit activities are also verboten, but these are the ones most often brought up.

On another note you asked if this thread was unacceptable - minus the talk of explosives it is acceptable under our rules. It is however perhaps not the most interesting topic of discussion about combating the undead hordes that will eventually rise and threaten us all.
It has been done before.

If you have a good browse through
WWYD : viewforum.php?f=31&start=50
and
Zombie Combat Tactics: viewforum.php?f=18

You might find some established threads you want to partake in about destruction of the undead.
:)

To the longer term users here I would like to remind you all that dog-piling and cracking wise at reflect poorly on us as a community and are not really acceptable. Posting our rules, helping out or even posing real questions about ammo weight without snark are much more conducive to producing better threads.
