Pay it Forward - Firearm parts and accessories

Postby nimdabew » Mon Oct 10, 2011 2:22 pm

Hey y'all. This is a thread is here for people to pass on unwanted firearm parts, accessories, or firearm related crap you just don't feel like looking at anymore. Post what you want/need and then post something that you have that you would like to give to someone else it. I will go first since I have crap that I want and crap I wouldn't mind parting ways with.

Dave, sticky???

Have:

Cut-down carry handle, mil-spec height. Unfinished, but the hard part is done. Looks like a LMT rear, but was cut down using a dremel. I never use it anymore.

Want:

USGI sling with metal clip for the FSB sling swivel.

ETA:

I have updated how this thread is supposed to work.

First, do not post something unless you are willing to give something away for free. Shipping will be paid by the person that wants the item! Work this out amongst yourselves.

Second, do not say you will be willing to take something unless you put something else up in the thread. This prevents moochers and people taking things without contributing something to the community. People with things that they are willing to part with, make sure they put something in the thread before you send them something. Try to aim for at least a $25 value or items that cannot be purchased by themselves (like Magpul PMAG covers).

Third, trading is fine, but don't expect it for each item you give out. If you post something, just keep an eye out in the thread and try to snag stuff when it becomes available. I have sent things out to people with nothing in return because I don't need it, but the next person might. Try to emulate this.

Lastly, all items will be sent as is, with no express warranty or refunds or whatever. If an item is malfunctioning, say so. If it is not, then assume that it is in working order.

Thanks for helping maintain the community of sharing!

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

This is not how it works... You post what you need, and what you have. if someone needs it, you send it to them. Eventually, someone will (hopefully) send you what you want/need. Try to keep your posts updated too so you don't keep getting PM's for stuff you already have.
Thanks Anianna!

I have a 10 round 7.62x39 AK mag someone can have.

It came with one of my rifles and I'm tired of it sitting there collecting dust.

I've got ~600 .38 special brass, and maybe a hand full of 357 mag. A malfunctioning CMC 1911 mag. Not sure if it's the feed lips, or the spring, or follower but it causes malfunctions. If someone has calipers they could check the feed lips, or try replacing the spring, or use it for malfunction drills. I think I've still got a rail mount sling attachment that facilitates hooks or loops but I've Gotta go through the misc bag/bin to double check and to see what else I've got.

Interested in a holster for a S&W model 10/64, preferably with retention other than a snap, as it's hammer is bobbed. US made AK lower hand guard (preferably Kvar or something else with a heat shield)

Question regarding this - does a person who is posting about wanting an item need to post something they are putting up for grabs at the same time? Or is it an "as available" kind of thing like the other Pay It Forward thread?
