Thoughts on splitting up 'Transportation' forum...

Postby mad4wd » Mon Sep 12, 2011 3:33 pm

I presented an idea to Kyle and he told me to post it here to see what others thought concerning the transportation forum.
Do you think it would be a good idea to split the transportation forum into sub forums like the firearm forums? I do not know if there is enough posting though to warrant it, but possibly we can grow it to be as informative as the medical, gear and firearm forums.
I was just thinking along these lines or something similiar...looking for suggestions

1)BOV/Expedition Vehicles and Builds
2)General Automotive and Daily Driver (to cover the general questions that crop up in the forum about someones minivan or taurus)
3)Motorcyles/Bicycles/Canoes/Boats/Airplanes...whatever...like a catchall for the other stuff

Just an idea I am throwing out there to keep it better organized in my opinion and hopefully provide better information to posters.

I dont really see the need, personally. I don't think there's enough traffic in the transportation thread to make it unmanageable. We get what, 20 new threads a week?

I don't like the idea of a catchall that covers air, land, and sea... combine that with the small volume of posts makes me think it is better to not mess with it.
