I've got a few questions for the chapter I'm going to throw into one post, since I'm trying to save number 1000 for something special.

First off, I thought I was signed up for everything chapter 3 related, but I don't get email updates, is there a special list I need to be on? I'd like to get more involved in the chapter, especially awareness events, even if they're run in the Niagara region.

Secondly, If anyone's followed what I've been contributing to the recent insurance thread ( this one ), but in recent progress, my insurance company has dropped my house policy because they felt there was too much risk between my firearm collection, and the high population of the building I live in. I know I live in a ghetto, but I'm smart enough to use a baseball bat if someone tries to break down my door. So I was wondering if some of the Ontario members might be able to direct me to insurance brokers who will cover my collection, either ones you know to be cheap, or ones that you know to be good (I'm not expecting both from an insurance company).

I think there was a third thing, but alas, it's eluding my mind. I'll edit this if I have to, something special to come with my 1000th post.

we are working on a mailing list. Lately we have been using just the facebook group because everyone's been on there, but mailing list needs to get done. I will do what i can as soon as i can. We have a comedy show fundraiser for the chapter coming up on Sept 16th, we're doing the first annual 1812 zombie walk on october 1st, and have a few more events coming up before year end. Next meeting is sept 2nd which will include a public meeting then probably some party/drinking time. If you can make it we can arrange a couch to crash on i think.

I would have totally been down, but the owner of my work passed away last weekend. They've closed my shop tomorrow for the funeral and we're making up for the lost day on Saturday.

ETA: What's the next event planned? I'm due for a (short) roadtrip.

Meeting October 7th, followed by drinking. Hawk for the cure late october/early november. Group travelling down to albany to join zsNY for their zombie movie festival on oct 21,22,23. we'll have a motor home for that, so it's a cheap little vacation if you can take an extra day off.
