Subjects covered will be emergency preparedness, couponing, and more specific local preparedness topics. Looking through here, youtube, and a few other sites in an attempt to come up with general preparedness info and Georgia specific info. I am hoping to possibly get a few people involved in ZS through it. Might even play a few zombie movies at the end of it

It's unlikely we'll get something thrown together over the holidays, so perhaps January will be better for folks.

First Week in December we are doing a Meet and Greet at Quick Shots in Atlanta (Firearm Range) Date/ Time pending.
Also we have a mock zombie apoc in March corresponding with the last episode of the Walking Dead.

Now a chapter can only serve a 2 hour radius so we have to change the name as it can no longer just be "Georgia." I see that you indeed are on the coast and I welcome you to start a chapter out there if you think you can get at least 3 people together for officers. There is absolutely room enough in this state for multiple chapters and in fact it would be awesome to have multiple chapters.
As per the re-org of this current chapter, for now we certainly don't want to lose anyone and I don't think it would do any harm to have anyone from GA, whether they are in the 2 hour radius or not, participate in discussions and such. We do plan on stretching out our meetings and events at least as far as 2 hours from the furthest span of Metro Atlanta (which covers a lot) so that we can be fair to members who aren't in town but we won't be able to do regular meetings further out your way because it does fall outside of the range. BUT I'm sure that if there is something going on out there that may serve the chapter we might make an occasional field trip
