It is not yet the time to start hounding your reps and senators to support this legislation. If you do live in a district where you are lucky enough to have one of the 23 representatives who are sponsoring this bill, it might be nice to say "Thanks" via an email based on their support. Nothing more.

No need to take any other action just yet, but it is starting. We are still looking for a number of folks to help us out on this issue. If interested, let us know. We will likely have something for you to do. We already have a number of folks interested.

Remember, we wish to send one consistent message throughout this compaign. Right now, we just want to say thanks to the folks who are sponsoring the bills.

Please do not go contacting Ceasfire, the NRA, or any other lobbying group, pro or against. Don't start another discussion group, etc. Please let us do it in a planned manner. We want to keep this low key for the moment. Just like the suppressor legislation, if you hear something, let us know, and let this pass through the process in its own sweet time.

Thanks,
Andy

We will update items as we move along.

its about time. i always thought it was stupid that WA considered a rifle with a 16" barrel some how safer or less threatening than a rifle with a 12" barrel.
this would open up so many projects. i need to find a better paying job.

I already know what the first SBR build is going to be. BCM 12.5" upper with lo-pro gas block, Larue 9" rail, SPR/M4 mount, Troy F/R sights, Aimpoint micro, CTR. Nice, neat, simple but effective suppressor host.
Thanks Anianna!

Holy sh!t. I am literally amazed.

Anyone know who this Andy guy is? How do we help him other than e-mail when he says to do so? How would I go about buying these guys dinner or something? This is amazing stuff right here. Even if it does not pass the first time, this is amazing.

And if this passes, I am going to be a little mad I gave away one of my SBR's because I thought I'd never get to have them here. I'll be a lot more happy though.

Nim: I think you have very quality taste in SBRs.

I believe they're setting up a private forum or a gmail group or something. I would email/PM him or this guy if you want to join it.

You might have to start an ARFCOM account.

EDIT: Check out this thread as well. Discussion about this bill starts about halfway down page 31.

Great news for all Washingtonians, potentially apocalyptic news for my checking account.

By the way, you can actually use your suppressors in less than 90 days! Ooh-frickin-rah!

How very exciting. Let us know what we can do to help when that time comes?

For right now, don't say anything. Just let the wheels in the sky turn.

With a wife and two kids, can't afford that lol. Would love to though, but I'll settle for the LAR-15. :D

Single no kids crew! Sometimes, not having a girl friend is rewarding.

BCM upper - 105
Centurian LW 12.5 with pinned GB - 300
Larue 11" quad - 300
Troy front/rear - 200
BCM F/A BCG - 140
Misc ladder/XTM panels laying around - free

Not having to explain gun purchases to the wife/girlfriend - priceless
Thanks Anianna!

lol, most women have hobbies of their own, so you can just justify gun purcahses by countering with an inquiry.

Her: "Why do you need another pistol? You only have two hands."
Me: "Why do you need 142 shades of makeup, you only have one face."

Your mileage may vary, I am not a relationship counselor and cannot be held responsible if you don't get any for three weeks following the above exchange.

Eh, it's more along the lines of trying to convince myself. With two kids to feed, even my strong wanting of a new gun, doesn't outweight my satisfaction of keeping their tummies full. :) 8)

This is why I said "Some benefits" and not "being single is the bestest thing in the whole wide world".

I can't stop thinking about that upper. I am going to be getting a mini can for that rifle with a break too once I finally can buy it.
Thanks Anianna!
