If you have a favorite coffee or via flavor you would like to have just tell me now so I can use my Barista powers to stock up. Additionally what is a good beverage of the distilled variety to bring along? Are there any camp favorites that haven't been accounted for yet? Looking forward to the hump up to base camp!

You will make a lot of new friends. :)

I had a friend give me a ton of instant coffee packets the last two years and they were quite popular. Making hot coffee out there sucks. Unfortuately, my supplier is no longer working at star bucks

so I just re read this whole thread, someone was asking for Louisiana hot sauce.... while its not from there, I have a bottle of daves insanity sauce, which in excess, may melt your organs.. :-D

so honesty moment, I think I got charged a lower rate than I should have, part of me would like to not point this out, but then I would feel bad, so there it is..

other thoughts...
I need to loose weight for manbath :-\

so random question... I try to make it a habbit to carry when possible, from the registration rules it sounds like while on the mountain, its a no no, which I can deal with, due to the vast sums of alcohol.... but if I am off property (for whatever reason?...) whats the word on that?...I do have reciprocity in Missouri

so far the suggestions I have heard are as follows
hammock,
chair,
water shoes,
possibly a fan for the hammock?

I have a eno double, and a good sized tarp, but no bug netting, I may rig something up since bugs are worse down there,
speaking of bugs... are there any serious diseases or sickness's KNOWN to be carried by the local ticks?... I know in Michigan there is a line where the lyme hasnt spread yet... or at least thats my understanding, that in the upper region, a tick is still no good, but not a serious risk if you catch it quick..

any other possible barters?

You will want bug protection for sure. Ticks like crazy some years. I will also challenge you to a Daves Insanity Sauce drinking contest if you like.

Last year was smaller in attendance than the few z-cons prior. We had just under 60 people. I have a group photo around here somewhere. I'll dig it up.

That's pretty much the stuff I make. Also, just to note, I will be doing a gourmet campfire cooking seminar with Sgt.Hotpants... Hope you like hot chilli...

Haha, it's an IRC thing. Every time I make a poop reference I get negative karma

(down to -112 last I checked)

It's kind of a an IRC running gag.

He has a bad habit of talking about his bowel movements way too much. "biggin--" is a shorthand version of applying negative karma, or 'downvoting' him in a way.

Any time he mentions poop in any way, shape, or form, he gets downvoted. Bridging it over to the forum was just for the lulz.

Duly noted. But i'm serious about the chilli. I like to make a big pot of chilli from dried meats every year. It's usually a hit.

I have an Eno as well and had a tarp and bug net. I didn't feel like I needed the netting much, but it was great on hot nights (and they are all hot nights) when I wanted to kick the tarp to one side and just have the netting over me. Having said that, I didn't get any ticks last year, so maybe it didn't seem like I needed it because it worked :)

There is a high likelihood that there will be only me coming down this year from the canadian contingent. If it is, I'm going to fly in, likely monday night if someone will put me up for the night before and/or after zcon. Will also be looking for space in someone's tent (and will probably buy a camp chair at wal-mart.) I Might be able to bring my tent, dunno how much room I will have if flying.
