Thanks for the leg work. Based on what nfa says... I'd be all for them as well.

How did you do that?

<edit> oh. Huh. Looks like the postal match donation page has been turned back on by mistake. You must have really dug around to get to that. :)

JerryOnly, I refunded your $30.00 I'll have the donation page up for the Japan drive later today. Sorry for the inconvenience!

If there are any objections, we haven't committed. I'm open for pros/cons.

I'm still in the process of the write up for the donation and instructions on how to donate.

Hey, ZS has much more experience in getting the right stuff to the right people than I do, so I humbly defer to your experience. If you guys think Direct Relief is the way to go, then get the ball rolling! Just show me what I need to do and where I need to do it... :D

Agreed - looks like the way to go. Thankfully there is an org that keeps up on those things so we can figure out which is best. Thanks for putting this together and making it easy for us.

Funds sent via paypal. My wife lived in Japan for 5 years teaching English and working as a liason between American and Japanese companies. I have been to Japan and love the country. It's clean, everything runs on time and everything works. It's an amazing place and the people are very cool. Help if you can guys. They aren't like the Katrina folks.

Fundraiser for J Quake

Postby watercooled » Thu Mar 17, 2011 12:17 am

if anyone works for a large corporation, they are probably willing to match your donation. You might have to ask around but it is certainly worth it to make every dollar count. My company matched my donation to the fund I donated to.

Thanks ZS for setting this up. Many of us have family over there.
