No real manual of arms, if it doesn't go bang, pull the trigger again. I can still find used, 4" barreled Model 10s for under $300. Speed loaders are $12 each, new. They work for concealed carry, too.
No, but I wish I was under 30.
I used to be a big fan of revolvers, but progress marches on.
All the advantages you just listed above pretty much apply to Glock 19's (except pulling the trigger again...with the Glock you'd have to rack the slide quickly and then pull the trigger again if you had a FTF). They're simple, unlike revolvers they're practically indestructible, 9mm ammo is actually slightly less expensive than .38 Spl, they're just as accurate, the capacity of what you have in the revolver AND the speedloaders is about what you have in just a single G-19 mag and if you're willing to buy a former police issued Gen 3 or just a used Gen 2 you could make that price tag as well.
I like guns that work. Glocks work. I'll stick with something time proven if it still competes adequately with current technology, but I won't stick with something based solely on nostalgia and perhaps a $40 reduction in price (although I have seen Glocks for less than $300 before, usually they're just slightly above that).
Just saying...:Shrug
