Looks like a brother from another mother!

I like the full tube going all the way back to the receiver on yours. It blends in and can't be easily distinguished as being a suppressor from a distance. Who made it?

It's a Precision Arms SR-22. They went out of business in the mid-1990's.

I got it around 97.

Yea despite being 100% legal the low key nature of the Ultra II was a big selling point for me. I don't have it packed with my INCH gear though that isn't a bad idea.

nice .22's guys!

i was gonna call shenanigens on WW as it looked like nothing more than a .22 with a bull barrel, then read this from the site...

This small diameter silencer has the appearance of a heavy target barrel and does not utilize any internal components that could contribute to degradation or performance.

VERY NICE!

i think a .22 is one of the most important rifles one can use in a INCH situation. if i need to leave home, and plan on not coming back for a long time my .22 will be going along for the ride along with a brick of ammo.

I would check out the ZS Firearms forum for info on suppressed weapons. DavePAL84 has given me good info on the topic in the past.

Standard Rem .22LR Thunderbolt and Winchester .22LR Wildcat. I have .22LR CCI Stingers and Blount. Inc Quik-Shot plus a bunch of other types as well but hardly use them. I think the Wildcats works best from a reliability perspective if I am slack with cleaning.

It's just the opposite with my 10-22. It works great with Wildcats until it gets dirty. Then I have problems with the action cycling. CCI Stingers work with 100% reliability though.

Thanks KYZHunters! I will update this thread shortly with my wife's INCH Bag. It's is a much lighter version of mine, but I built both to complement each other.

Re: My INCH Bag Plus NEW! My Wife's Bug Out Bag.

Postby ODA 226 » Fri Aug 12, 2011 9:32 pm

I promised to add my Wife's Bug Out Bag to this thread a long time ago, so here it is: The rucksack used is a Camelback that was in tri-color Desert. I used OD Green spray paint to give it more utility in a Tidewater, Virginia operating environment:

Image

SHELTER:

Image

She choose to carry a large Guide Gear tarp because of it's versatility and a MARPAT poncho to be used as a ground cloth. She also has 50 feet of 550 cord.

SLEEP SYSTEMS:
She combined two lightweight bags, a USGI patrol bag and a POS civilian bag that previously failed me. The combo fits her well and combined, will give her comfort to 32+F.

Image

We combined the two bags and secured them in a waterproof bag.

COOKING/FIRE/ HEAT

My wife carries a stove that I made for her from a soup can, cardboard and parafin. We used these in snow caves while I was stationed in Alaska. This type of stove puts off a lot of heat and will burn for 50+ hours. It will also light even after being submerged in water.

Image

She made two vials full of vasaline coated cotton balls and carries 3 bic lighters to start fire. She carries a heavy duty magnifying glass as an emergency backup.

Image

She opted for my Puma Knife that I used while demining in Croatia and a small folder. The Puma is known as one of the best “choppers” in the world and the folder, while a cheap POS is very sturdy.

Image

LIGHT

for illum she has 2 ea solar powered lights,1 ea LED/laser flashlight, 1ea Micro-Maglight, and 4ea Chem Lights:

Unfortunately I was doing some .mil training when you posted this thread the first time, so I just spent all morning reading it for the first time. ZS voting doesn't work for me but this was a great thread... You make me incredibly jealous of your full auto shorty ar... I got to man-handle an M4 when some of your guys came over in July for Talisman Sabre and it was felt light compared to our rifle.

PM sent
Do you have any duct tape or gaffa tape in your bag?
Did you end up getting a headlamp? I use my headlamp more than any other torch when I'm in the bush(providing we don't have a threat to worry about, or I'm just camping), it's a red/white headlamp with a couple of flashing modes I wish it didn't have but I find if I need to see at night, I'm doing something that generally requires me to use my hands as well.
