Well, as long as we don't get so much snow here in PA that more than two weeks of school gets postponed, I should be okay.

Though the Farmer's Almanac is calling for a rough winter, I hear. At least this year I have a snowblower, which I bought after last February's "snowmageddon."

And hopefully by next June the truck will be fully operational.

Presumably same place it's always been: private property near Irondale, MO.

Steph and I will be there unless our lives take some kind of unexpected turn.

My goals for this year are to bring a damned hammock instead of a tent, and to actually shoot in all the competitions at range day instead of forgetting about one of them.

Also to do that damned hike up the mountain which I've missed/slept through/wussed out of both years so far.

I really want to make it out there next year. And seeing as how my birthday falls on June 22, it would be an awesome B-day present!!! (I'm already dropping hints  )

Since I live in KY, the commute shouldn't be too bad.

I really want to attend, but it's a hell of a trip from Washington State. How does it work for people who fly in? Are they renting cars and getting hotels for dates around Z Con or can they get picked up from, and taken back to the airport?

Some have rented cars but most of gotten rides from local ZSers. If you give us plenty of notice with your flight info we can get you the hook up.

I am in the same boat, but flying from the other side of the country. Pending time off & funds though, I am there.

Would anyone be interested in my doing a seminar on field observation and sketching? I could teach a couple of basic drawing techniques like contour, gesture, cross contour, and perspective, and apply them to some survival situations like:

Draw the snake that bit you
Draw the plant you ate (whether it was good or made you sick)
Draw the foreign tank that's in your city
Draw the crazy monster that's running down the street
Make a spatially-accurate diagram of a building
Figure drawing in Manbath

Also, maybe Steph could do a photo seminar, and I've got some suggestions to run by Pete for range day. (Timed 1-5 drills, anyone?)

I've learned quite a bit about woodworking/carpentry/cabinetmaking in the last three years and I am more than willing to share what I have learned. I've also done roofing (shingle, metal, and natural materials), flooring, and the basics of the sawyer's trade (My boss jokes that we are men of many hats, and we will be doing liver transplants before long    ).

I also know quite a bit about farming (animal and plant) and I am more than willing to teach.

My long-term calender is cleared for Z-CON 2011, so if there is any interest in my particular skills, I'd be thrilled to host a seminar on them, along with input or help from others with XP in those fields.

I am already slotting vacation time for this so I don't miss out this year. No wife in school to stop me either this time around. I will definitely have my early registration in as I'm all about the bargain. We need to line up who has the largest vehicles so we can car pool / caravan it down the highways. I have visions of the roaming gangs from the Mad Max movies.
Some would call it fire in heaven while others would say that it was mercy in hell. All I know is it is redamndiculous and I am going to just shoot it to see what happens.
