If you'd believe it, I _found_ one of these lying around my college. Never before have I drank so much water, this thing makes it too easy to drink a gallon a day.

Very cool. Will be sure to order one up soon!

I have no use for a bottle that requires suction (in Earth's gravity), unless I was weaned too soon of course (worth considering).
Hydration packs I understand.
The water bottle shown here I find faddish rather than functional.
The bottle not the flask...I like the flask. Longevity of the flask is another topic entirely.

I just want one to flash around school.

Love the idea of a ZS bottle, don't love how you've gone about it. I'm so disappointed that missed the unofficial one, I was on basic training at the time :(

That really does look like a sippy cup. I find that I quickly lose my patience with those though. I need something with an open...mouth. Jeez, don't anyone read into that or anything.

metal cup used to boiling/heating. if it fits around the bottom it can store easier

Sorry you feel that way. Luckily they're selling well enough to fund future merch development.

Those of you who've bought them, don't forget to post pics of the flask being used in the field (and by "field" I mean "parties").

I missed the boat on the unofficial ones, though, and this guy fails two important criteria for me: one, I try to avoid aluminum because I'm paranoid about Alzheimer's, and two, it won't fit in my Nalgene-sized pouches or accept a metal Nalgene-sized cup on the bottom of it.

So...any chance there's a Nalgene-type 1 liter water bottle in the works?

EDIT: Just saw the post in the other thread that one's in the works. AWESOME. I'm all over that like herpes on a hooker.

This though I would suggest a Camelbak version of the Nalgene. It is like a grownup sippy cup and is just as durable as the Nalgene. It is a bit more expensive than a Nalgene though, but worth every penny.

After using one of the metal ones daily for over a year now I have one small complaint. When I looked this was the only item I could find that fit my simple needs of allowing me to drink from it with one hand and I liked the Camelbak Bite-N-Sip. Unfortunately, as it has aged it now leaks water through the rubber pressure relief valve and leaks through the Bit-N-Sip if left in the car. Once again this was not an issue for the first 6 months but has since become a small annoyance. I suppose I am just overdue for a an identical replacement unit.

Ohh whats that? I think I hear the Mail Man.

Hummm what could this be?

Well lets open it up and find out...

*Gasp* it's my "canteen" and a couple of ZS T-shirts I ordered!

Nice, nice. As far as aluminum bottles go I like it. Only complaint is that the cap was cocked on it. Didn't seem to damage the threads but I can Imagine it would be easy to cross thread it again while drunk, er.. um I mean drinking, Water from it of course! Don't judge me!

Also, I feel that it was lacking a few essential items to officially call it "Tactical" So I added....

A webbing bottle holder and NiteEyez beaner. So Behold my Tactical Flask and tremble before it's awesomeness!

And wouldn't yah know, turns out it stores quite nicely in the little side pocket of my BOB.

Looks nice, but it can't be tactical. There's neither a bayonet nor a goodly amount of telephone cord on it.

My flask if filled with flowers, gummy bears, and whiskey. I'd take pictures of it, but Federal Law prohibits the images from being transferred via electronic means across state lines.

Is this water bottle like the Sigg oval?

http://www.trailspace.com/gear/sigg/ova ... 0.6-liter/

If so you can buy the vintage water Cups that fit around this bottle.

After using these flasks in "the field" a while we decided they suck and we won't be carrying them anymore.

Some people reported that they were great but enough people (including myself) reported problems with them that we don't want to sell them anymore to avoid having bad products with the ZS name on it.

We are working on getting a new flask. Instead of these bottles, we will be offering a ZS bottle similar to the nalgene bottles from the recent charity drive but with different colors and a second traditional stainless steel flask.

More info soon. I'm sure Kristan will let us know.
