Im down for a ZS-OZ, too.

I'll probably be in Vic, by the time this all kicks off.

If not, there's 1500 acres of virgin bushland up here in the Far North you're all welcome to. Natural springs, steams, swimming holes, the biggest Barra you've ever caught.

Looking for a change of scenery, though.

...You come up here often? Really?

No problem, though. It's Native Title Land, so long as you don't go tearing over sacred sites or such, I can't see why not.

Let me know the dates, and I'll arrange it for you.

Just sticking my head in...

**waves**

The last time we had a serious crack at this the board cleared us to have the required monthly meetings via skype if that's any help.

That just leaves the charity thing and an annual-ish Aussie ZCON.

Sorry Sonnenkinder, didn't see the reply in this thread until TGC posted!

Unfortunately we've never been up that way but to have plans to get up there in the next year or so :) We spent two months travelling the Kimberley region for our honeymoon in 2007 and want to explore more of Australia, so were always on the look out for anywhere we're legally allowed to camp on our adventures :)

I'll drop you a PM once I've had a chat with the wife and see if we can get some sort of rough time frame as to when we think we can get there.

Can you give us a rough idea of where it is?

Really appreciate you responding :)

Cheers,

Jason.

I head up that way pretty often to see mates. Should try and get the other Canberra guys up and get a bit of a ZS:0Z meeting on

Tetra lives!

And Jason, that's no problem. We're fencing the property to run cattle, going through zoning for accommodation, and widening the natural springs.

let me know a ballpark date for your trip, and i'll make sure everything is set.

I take it you'll want to see the Tip, but anything else, i can plan beforehand, give me the heads up?

Hey guys great to see some enthusiasm about getting ZS kicked off in Aus. I'm new here but pretty keen to get involved.
Lots of great ideas here, I myself would probably hesitate to go straight into forming an Aussie chapter only because I think it would be difficult to maintain the monthly events seeing as we are all so far apart. And it seems straight foreword enough geting together once a month but I'm sure we all know from experience how hard it can sometimes be to find time amongst work and family commitments.
I reckon this it is a great start that we have this dialogue tho I hope we can keep discussion up amongst Aussie members and hopefully organise a camping trip or something.
You will not rise to the occasion. You will default to your traning.

I just booked flights to Thailand for mid October, for work.

$489 return. Including taxes. That's about fifty more than it would cost me to drive down to Cairns.

Anyone keen to ride along, the flights are still under 500 for the next ten days.

Like usual, it worked out cheaper to organise sourcing, manufacture and merchandising face to face than via phone and email.

Anyone here got any schwag to add to the wishlist?

And, Templar, i have a giftwrapped purple fixed blade sitting on my workbench at home.

...I told you so.

Oh, and one other small thought.....

With you lot all flapping your internet gums about a ZS:OZ chapter, you lot of cheap wankers might think about actually pulling the 'ole wallet out of those tight pockets, and actually coughing up the $15 US to become actual paying ZS members......

Just a thought!

Hey mate - yeah, sorry. I've been working pretty much flat chat the last little while. Means less time for ZS, unfortunately.

I am coming stateside, but we've had to postpone it for a while. We're definitely still making it over to your neck of the woods, as soon as both the missus and I have some leave and some cash built up.

Edit: You guilted me into it - I've just gone and gotten a membership. Probably about time, seeing as I've been on here for 3 years or so.
