Video yay-ness over here. (For non-Dutch: all text and explanation is in Dutch; 10 pirates were arrested, none hurt or killed, to be handed over to German authorities. The beginning of the video shows (in both video and audio) a nice amount of weapons fire; this is covering fire for the landing Marines and the 'clearing' of the ship's bridge. Ship's crew were hiding in a safe room and emerged unscathed after the Marines had completed clearing the ship.)

During our last trip to Florida we stayed in Vacation Villa's.
All of those Villa's had hurricane/first aid kits including evacuation schemes.

Walking through Disney's "Magic kingdom" i realized these Americans are prepared whereas i'm not!

So when at home i started building my first BOB and made a decent first aid kit.

Of course we don't have to prepare for hurricanes, but we do have Zombies
Living close to Amsterdam means we got loads of Zombies.

Grtz.
Be carefull they are all around you!

Worked with the Dutch Marines during an exercise on Isla Vieques (Puerto Rico) during in the early 90's. They were top-notch and good at their jobs. Hope you find enough people to start your own chapter. And a belated thanks for your financial help during the American Revolution.... I know that it is long over-due, but it is never too late to say thanks. :)

I have a Dutch Shepherd (hollandse x mechelse herder) if that counts  . I had several friends come to California from the Netherlands a couple years back, great guys they are all dog trainers from a KNPV club. I am going to try and go their next year for a few weeks and maybe bring back a dog. You have some of the best and toughest dogs that I have seen. I'm new to this board also, but welcome anyway.

regards.

So we're well-loved? I think we Dutchies can live with that. ;)

Honestly didn't know we helped out that much with the American Revolution. I thought it was limited to picking on the English and the French while they were busy in the US and giving political support. That'll be interesting to read up on. ;)

And it should be noted (not that we don't mind compliments; we love 'em ) that Mechelse Herders are a Belgian breed. The KNPV dudes should be very good with dogs though; they train our police dogs! (And those are tough puppies. It's always fun to see them on the news when some angry mobs decides to trash a place and Mr Smithers releases the hounds.)

Once on the news: a bunch of anarchist protesters that started crying and complaining of police brutality when they attempted to storm a military complex. They met one type of person, one type of object and one type of animal that day: Mr. Military Riot Police. Mr. Baton and Mr. 'Waffles' Police Dog. There was blood and crying and it was glorious.
