Actually, it would make it easier if this happens before you set up your equipment or after you break it down and carry it away so we don't have to. It'll suck more if we have to carry your corpse AND your gear. :)

I'd probably be able to get leave for those dates, but the whole me being 19 prevents my attendance. Zombie Con 2012, here I come!

My wife keeps yelling at me for continuously buying stuff I need for this trip. I spent $20.00 at Lowes on some rope to string up my hammock and I got the 3rd degree. Zombie Squad didn't prepare me for this type of disaster! :?
I still need food, beverages, ammo, EARPLUGS, etc. It's a good thing I started working on her months ahead of time.
I've been wondering guys... if a certain person was willing to bring certain firearms to the range for certain people to try out, would certain people be willing to buy their own ammo? I know there will be a wide variety of firearms there already but...

If you have an interest in experiencing range day but lack firearms or ammunition, you are in luck. This is easily the friendliest crowd you'll find, everyone will be eager to let you try out their stuff. And I'm certainly one of those people, neophyte shooters are my favorite people. In fact, if there's something you're interesting in shooting, drop me a PM and if I have one I can bring it, or I can find somebody else that has one to bring.

Oh, and if you sign up for the reloading seminar, you can make some of your own ammo to shoot too.

As of right now, enough for you and 16 of your closest friend. Next week will be a different story!

I'm either registered very early or very late... I can't make up my mind, lol. I just registered maybe a week ago, didn't know if I would be able to get off of work.

If you have paid for your membership, you are good. Go to http://zombiehunters.org/zombiecon/zconregister.php and fill out the application, just put 0 under member number and in the area that will let you comment put the date your payment went through paypal and the confirmation # paypal sent you.

Yeah, I Can't wait. I registered and paid. Now all I have to do is save up for fuel. Its over 700 miles to ZCon for me, but from what I've read it will be well worth it!
Does anyone know if they allow for shotguns firing buckshot or slugs on the rifle range?

Just for the record, as Kristan (iloveash) has pointed out, if you are not already a ZS member you can join now and still get into ZombieCon.

Just send in your membership application (http://zombiehunters.org/members/) then register for the convention (http://zombiehunters.org/zombiecon/zombiecon2010.php) anytime before June 1st.

Even though this won't be enough time to get the membership processed before Z-con, we will be able to apply your membership application to your zombie con registration, assuming you use the same name in both forms so we can match them up.

If you have any questions, let us know.

Yes, range day will have a designated shotgun range, and there are no prohibitions about using them on the rifle range.

Well, it's not like it goes bad. And this year you'll have more stuff to add, I'm doing the reloading seminar again.

I'm hoping to catch it this year. By the time I got there last year, you were about 15 minutes from finishing.

Will it be a full press setup? I've never made my own ammo, but I have TONS of 30-30 brass and a die for reloading, as well as ball. I just can't bring powder or primers over the border. I can bring the rest though.

This weekend I built a water-powered pump that will (hopefully) push water from Manbath up to basecamp. Going to test it out soon, I'm super excited.

I'll keep you posted.

Is it all mechanical or does it energize an electrical motor that pumps the water?

There's purified water at the cabin, right? (nooby question) So what would you use water from the pond (sorry, Manbath) for?

PS: I'm really pumped for the reloading seminar. Reloading is something that I should have gotten into years ago but every time I go to justify the cost of a press, I see another rifle or pistol for only a few digits more  . That and, I window shop ammo like a woman with shoes, so despite the expense, I have some fun with it.

I have some fire-formed brass from late 1960's surplus Greek HXP .30-06 (it's boxer primed, noncorrosive) I have fired out of my Springfield 03-A3 (which will definitely make my ZCon list) -- would it be alright to bring and use this brass in the seminar?
