Your apocalyptic photography thread

Postby dogbane » Thu Feb 04, 2010 9:38 am

Hi. I thought I'd start a thread where people can post their own photos of destruction, dissolution, and decay. The photos simply need to evoke the PAW in some way. They do not need to be artistic photos, and they can include SHTF, riot, disaster or war photos as well as pictures of urban or rural decay. Some of my own urban decay shots as examples:

Great additions to the thread, all. Blast, I love those. Reminds me of some pics I have on film somewhere that I need to scan.

Here are a couple of new ones:
Old fire escape. I imagined a zombie crashing out the window or something.

You should have gotten someone to climb up there to hang the ZS Chapter flag!

A flag? Hell, I'm thinking a climbing harness and paint!!!

That building was awesome. The walls were 3+ stories tall and the central tower is more than double that. The area on the right side of the tower is open to the sky so we'll put our crops there. The left side does have a roof so we can use it for living and rain water collection. The whole area is empty filled with warehouse and urban decay. I know the guy who owns the building, currently he hosts raves there and stores his collection of art cars in it. I want to ask how much he wants for it but even as/where is I suspect he'll want $$$.

To the previous posters:

I've got a bit of spare time at the moment, and I've just picked up another art commision. It's a casual thing, with no real deadline. The art side of life has taken a back seat for the last year or so, and I need to get my skill back up to scratch.
Is anyone keen to let me use some of thier photography?

All due credit will be given for the photo's, and I'll make sure to ask for permission if they might end up being included in the work.

Anyone keen?

I would have to have an executed non-exclusive licensing agreement and I would have to approve the manner in which my work was to be used. I would allow the use of my photography under those conditions.
