Central Texas Chapter *update 1/25/10*

Postby Glitch20 » Wed Jan 06, 2010 1:03 pm

i am looking to try and get an official Central Texas chapter going by late this summer but first i need to see who is interested and get some gatherings, meetings, and camping trips going first.
so, if you are in the central area and would like to get a chapter going post here an let me know.

i would like to try and get a camp-out set up for some time next month(February) to meet some fellow central Texans and start doing some planing.

I'm in College Station. I've thrown my lot in with the gulf coast crowd, since they are a bit closer, but I might make some of centex events too if the timing works out.

Went camping with some of the Gulf coast members recently but I guess a central Tex. Chapter would fly. The wife and I are helping work out the details for a Texas campout coming up soon. I believe it is gonna be Gulf Coast and West Tex. chapters together. So you may want to come to it. Oxford Ranch is a great place to camp. It is a privately owned campground run by some great people. I believe there is a meet and greet coming up in the San Antonio area also.

currently i am planing to have a meet and greet on January 30th at Opal Divines marina to meet some of the central TX folks over burgers and beer.
not sure on the time yet, but most likely sometime around 5:00-6:00pm
i would like to get some kind of idea on how many could or could not make it.

P.S. on Saturdays Opals has Happy Hour: $1 off wells & selected drafts from 4PM till 7PM.

Kicking this show off is going to be great. I'll be there at this meetup. Hope to see lots of people there. I even throw together a quick banner to show my enthusiasm, let me know if you want something or just steal the link to this one.

We are planning on being a very active chapter with mock bug-outs and fun charitable events. We will post ideas about future events soon.

Enjoy your face.

Glitch and I went down to the San Antonio Meet-n-Greet and it went pretty successfully. Looking forward to seeing even more folks at this meet up on the 30th.
