IDEA...

What about a get together over Labor Day weekend. Have it somewhere between Wichita, Leavenworth, Manhattan, and KC (Overland Park for me). So....

What about Sunday, September 6 at Clinton Lake (just West of Lawrence). If we can get at least 5 ZSers to confirm then I will bring the burgers, brats, buns, and the charcoal. I will be hunting Clinton Wildlife Area on Tuesday for the Dove opening season and will locate a shelter and try to reserve it and will pass on the coordinates. My feeling is the Kansas ZSers need to team up soon before things spiral downward more quickly.

Any of you local ZSers that are single action shooters need to PM me. I am opening my club's range 4 times this month for practice sessions on steel targets. I will even supply the firearms (Ruger Vaqueros, 66 & 73 lever actions, and SxS or '97 pump) and ammo for the first time for each one of you (within reason).

Range:

There are 5 shooting stages with about 9 shooting positions.

Wow i suck so big right now. I haven't been online in a while so i missed a lot of the planning. If i have enough notice I can make it to a meet. Say endish of Sep. The Mr. has Sep 26- Oct 7th off (i think) so any weekend in there (other then 26-27th we are going to Ren Fest) we might be able to make something. Even just a coffee shop/bar meet up would be cool.

A few things we could work out would be ideas for the 2 charity works we would have to do before we can even start a chapter. Something like this we can work out online and have a place to move from when we all get our asses together.

Some ideas -
We could talk to the KS Zombie Walk folks or even the KC horror club and do a blood drive or a movie night for a local shelter.

Working with/talking to these already established groups could also open up a local member pool to us to up chapter membership and get the name and ideas behind ZS out into the KS population.

Anyone have any ideas?

Wanted to say hi. I am new to ZS but not the lifestyle.
I live in Fort Leavenworth but am currently deployed.
When I get back I am willing to hit up a few meet and greets.

Some friends of mine are going Saturday night, not sure on time. Depends on how long we stay at the farm shooting. Most likely going to the Old Town Warren. Damn I love those chicken strips.

Apparently some people think Newton is popular enuf for a zombie walk. So if anyone feels like comming to my town and joining them check out the link :P
I'll probably show up there, but just to spread some zs love, and they did say pizza and shaun of the dead at the fox, so that should be cool too :p

Well it's tomorrow if anyone plans on going. I don't think I'll participate in the walk (least not as a zombie) but if I get off of work in time I do plan to go there and spread some ZS love. Might say some nifty lines like, we're here to make sure this doesn't turn into a class 3 outbreak or something stupid like that.

Edit:
Wasn't able to attend, work and all that fun jazz.

Hey guys,
I'm in the Manhattan area. There's one other person from my home town on this site as well, don't know their name on here though.

I'd be up for a meeting sometime in late December/Early January.
