Name: Joey
Age: 25
Occupation: Nurse
Info: Born and raised in Yakima, Washington. Used to go on camping trips occasionally with the family but not very often. Got into firearms because of my brother who has a few and to a lesser extent my father who only owns rifles for hunting. Father, uncles and grandfather all have Army experience WWII and Vietnam era. I have no Army experience but have several friends who do and they teach me things here and there. I currently have no experience hunting with intent to shoot (soon to change this year), but have been hunting for the hiking and tracking parts of it before. Other info includes a somewhat unhealthy obsession of video games (I am 86.5% complete on owning all licensed American version NES, SNES and N64 games ever made). I enjoy swimming, all sorts of firearm drills, zombie movies, poker nights, road trips, cult movies, meeting new people and trying most new things.

Note: You all look like great people who I'd like to get to meet, unfortunately most of the meetings are on weekends which is when I work. If you can make some meetings/events during the week, preferably Monday - Thursday I'd much appreciate it.

Four years ago or so. Currently with more beard, more gut and less hair.

Ahoy there!

Name: Brian
Hometown: San Juan Islands
Interests: Family, education, public service, preparedness, shooting, boating, fishing, hunting
Occupation: Retired a decade ago, moved up here to escape Y2K, it seems to be behind schedule

I've been semi-lurking here for years. I ran into a fellow at the Seattle Police Athletic Club this last week who was muttering about the zombie uprising, and whipped out a Zombie Squad ID card, so I figured I should see if there was a regional section here I should investigate :-)

Info: 24, grew up in Seattle, went to school in Portland for four years, now back in Seattle (for now at least). Interests include fireworks (I am a pyrotechnician as a hobby, no real way to make money doing it), hiking/camping, reading, too much time on the internet.

I made a long intro post in that section, I also put a link to it in my sig for now. I hope to connect with the 005 guys soon!

edit: Oh, and I just got World War Z in the mail today from Amazon! :D

Name:Erik

Hometown: Seattle, WA

Interests: My family, Judo/jujitsu,all types of fabrication, sewing, math & motorcycles

Bio: I collect skill sets like kids collect baseball cards or comic books. I can do most types fabrication (my fiberglass skills are still weak but getting better), I like to sew, I have done everything from dresses to back packs, I am a trained mechanic, I know a few things about camping/wilderness survival that I learned from my dad who was a smoke jumper & I am all ways looking for new skills I can learn. I also coach judo/jujitsu, I have been at it for 21 years now.

I have been creeping around this web site for a few months & now I want to be a part of the group. My wife & I are not some paranoid survivalists but we are into things like long term food storage, go bags, exit plans, growing your own food & powerless construction & fabrication. I love how this site gives a fun way to talk about topics that are a bit on the morbid side otherwise.

But a few things I suck at is spelling & grammar, so when you see my screw ups on my posts please just let me know without being mean about it...thanx & look forward to getting to know you all.

Hello all.

My name is Chris and I live in Moscow, Idaho.

I am interested in all sorts of things, but my foci tend to be film, music, and pseudo-psychological surrealism (i.e. whatever opens up my mind). I enjoy getting out in the wilderness for camping and such, but I do it less than I'd like. I'm starting to really dig into survival and preparedness. I shot a gun for the first time this year and I would definitely like to shoot more.

As for a bio, there isn't much to say. I've lived here my whole life, had a private education and a year of university. Then I realized I learn a lot better on my own (which is way less expensive), so now I spend most of my time and mental space soaking up whatever interests me. I work at a guitar shop my da has owned since I was a foot tall. I guess my biggest goal now is to develop this ZPAW short-film series my friends and I are writing. It is still in very early stages, and the presence of girlfriends always seems to hinder progress, but slowly it will become a reality.

I hope to learn from all of you, and maybe you can even learn a little something from me.

Location: Post Falls, Idaho
Info: I’m 48 year old independent conservative, with a wonderful understanding wife of 20 years. I have two sons, ages 18 and 15. They have been enjoying the outdoors since they were babies and are now my two best hunting buddies.
I was born and raised here in North Idaho and I have traveled across the borders, but I always come back “home”. North Idaho is a great place to be. We grow our own food, can our own veggies and butcher our own meat. As kids we always had things to keep us entertained and “survivalism” was a way of life. We would go out with our rucksacks,” bed rolls”, a tarp and our .22s and be “mountain men” for a few days. The rule was “anything that you kill, you eat”. It made for interesting meals… pine squirrels taste like turpentine, ground squirrels taste like dirt and porcupine is pretty good … you get the idea.
I was a Firefighter/EMT-advanced from 1980 to 1988. During that time I was also with the Backcountry Medical Rescue Team and I was one of the few civilians invited to participate at the Fairchild AFB survival school.
I’m still adding to my “skill set” and I am looking forward to sharing with all of you.

Bio: Uh... did the whole Cub Scout & Boy Scout thing growing up, then went completely computer nerd and 100% work oriented. Now that I have a job that gives me some time off I'm back to getting into Preparedness. Moved from a High Mountain Desert (Wyoming and Colorado) to what seems like a Rainforest to me which is requiring a complete 180° swap in mindset.

Bio: I'm a computer geek by trade but I hate routine and enjoy learning new things. I go camping 10-15 times a year and have recently purchased my first handgun. I'm interested in becoming more knowledgeable in all survival skills and am definitely looking into long term planning. Hometown: Ketchikan, AK
Interests: Riding my bike, going shooting, chattin it up on forums, gaming (electronic and tabletop) and working.

Bio: I'm 19 years old, and because I work with people in their 40's I get the nickname Kid. I work in construction, specifically fence. I've done a multitude of other jobs (while working the same job) including roofing, flooring, electrical, drywall, heavy machinery operator, mechanic, ect. so I have a basic knowledge of many things. People often think lesser of me because I'm young, but I keep up with skilled professionals who have been doing the job for 20+ years. I've been in Alaska for 9 years now, lived in New York and Pennsylvania before that. Errr, I suppose that'll do for now.
I'll end up putting up a picture when I get one that looks half decent.

Bio: I was born and raised in Ireland. I moved to the USA when I turned 18 and eventually found my way to Idaho. I was involved in Scouting when living in Ireland but I've really not spent a lot of time in the wilderness since - but I want to change that. I interested to learn more about preparedness (both for a bug in and a bug out), I want to increase my EDC as to never get caught needing much gear, and just to become more self-reliant. Hopefully, a long the way, I'll pick up some skills and stuff.

One of the eighty.

Of every one-hundred men,
Ten shouldn't even be there.
Eighty are nothing but targets.
Nine are real fighters....
We are lucky to have them,
They make the battle. Ah, but one,
One of them is a Warrior....
He will bring the others home.

This is copypasta from the Introductions in the main forum.
Hi, I'm Connor Pierce. I just turned 18 today and have been waiting for this day for nearly 4 years so I could have the opportunity to join ZS.
I've been a competitive shooter for 2 years and placed 2nd in the nation with the WA Under 21 Longrange team at Camp Perry, Ohio in August. I'm classed as a Expert Midrange and ATC in Highpower Service Rifle (M16), and Master in Highpower Longrange (.308 bolt). I'm also a soldier in the Army National Guard, going to BCT in May, training as a 68W- Healthcare Specialist.
Without getting to long-winded; I'm really happy to be here in ZS and look forward to getting more involved in the community.

I apparently decided to join right after halflife did, though i don't think i know him, either way this chapter needs more tri-citians and other southeastern washingtonians, and we could always have more marines around.

Name: Karl
Hometown: Richland, WA
Age: 22 next month
Occupation: Marine, Data network operator and a Corporal.
Hobbies: General hands on work: building computers, working on my car, art, martial arts (specifically kendo), shooting, making things (armor, a little carpentry, metalworking, lathing), i also paintball and play a few too many video games and watch too many movies.

Bio: I've been in the Marines now for about 3 years, and have 2 left on my contract. Before that i worked at the Olive Garden in Kennewick, WA, and the theater at the mall when i was in highschool. When i get out of the corps i plan to continue working in the network field, and pursue a degree in either networking or information security.

I used to go camping a lot as a kid, my father was a boyscout many years ago and taught me a lot about wilderness survival, fishing and shooting. I hunt with friends and my uncle, and used to stomp around the desert a lot when i was younger. The marines has taught me more about survival, though i've had to teach a lot to myself. Zombies has been a big craze for me, ever since i read the ZSG and started making my own plans for zombie survival about 3 or 4 years ago now. I started writing a novel about a zombocalypse breaking out in southern california (where i'm stationed, camp pendleton). I'll let you know when i have it finished (and published?). Look forward to meeting some of you, maybe when i'm home on leave. I'll definitely be more active once i'm out of the marines and living back in WA in a couple years, but i'll keep up with current events as much as i can.

I quess it is time to stop lerking. I am a work with Istvan56 so am a FLEO, am also in the NG as a senior EOD tech. I have deployed twice to Iraq for a year or more each time, first time 03-04 as NBC, last time 08-09 as EOD at the US Embassy. Other than the military were I hold 5 MOS's (19K M1 tank crewman, 12F Heavy Engineer, 74D NBC, 89D EOD, and 91B Medic) I have been on a couple of different fire depertments and before becoming a police officer was a federal tactiacl security officer (job sounds a lot more fun than it was). I was in the boy scouts and like to go and spend time in the outdoors but have not done a lot of it for some time (for fun at least) so am starting to get back in to it. So that is what I can think of now, was waiting on some photos but have been to lazy to take some and decided to stop waiting just post some later if I ever get around to takeing them.

Hi everyone

I've been on ZS for a few months now, and lurking for longer. I figured I'd finally stop in and introduce myself.

I live in (and spent the majority of my life) in western WA, but I was born in eastern WA (with some time spent living in California and Hawaii thrown in the mix). I am a LEO and prior to that I worked in corrections. I'm engaged to be married this summer to the best women I've ever met! :D

I enjoy camping, hiking, shooting, weight lifting, music, and zombie movies. Jeez, it sounds like I'm writing a personal ad.......

Can't think of much else interesting to write right now, but I look forward to seeing what Zombie Squad is up to in my area.

Name: BT, or just B
Age: 25
Location: Port Orchard, WA (born San Jose, CA; raised Porterville, CA)
Occupation: Navy, submarine sonar technician second class (STS2)

Not much to be said here! Coming up on 7 years in the Navy this month, and the end of active duty is not long in following. Currently I am stationed at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton. I get to experience the excitement of having to find employment soon. Beyond that worry, I feel that as my family slowly grows, it is my duty to collect knowledge and skills that could prove essential to their survival in case of a major disaster, which is why I jumped on board ZS within the first five minutes of my finding it - I was literally just today planning on starting a local group with the intent on providing aid to one another in case of a SHTF event (on another forum). I fully intend to support ZSC-005 to the fullest, now and in the event of disaster. If the military provided me with nothing else (which it mostly didn't), it's an extreme willingness to work together with other professionals as a cohesive unit. Fortunately it seems there are a lot of military/veteran members in 005 so there's no reason for us not to be able to kick all manner of ass if needed.

To be less long winded now, I enjoy hiking, trail running, camping, shooting (none of which I have been able to do in years, unfortunately), as well as working on and racing our family's cars (Pontiac G8 GT, 5.0 Mustang convertible, and the trusty AWD Edge - which doesn't get raced incidentally). I also enjoy writing, if you couldn't tell from this unnecessarily lengthy post, and drawing/designing/drafting.
