UK October Meeting

Okey dokey;

Its been a while since our last open meeting, this is due to circumstances beyond our control. However thats all been sorted and we're now looking forward to the next few months.
As you can tell by the poll we've 2 options, date wise. The first is the saturday (as all the meetings are) the 24th and the second is the saturday 31st October.

Date: TBA
Location: Birmingham City Centre, West Midlands
Venue: Loaf (JD Wetherspoons), The Arcadian, Birmingham
Time: 1300 hrs onward

Basically, what we need is to gauge which of the dates given can the most folks attend, so put your vote up. It should allow you to change your vote should your circumstances change.

On the agenda for this meeting are the following items:

Introduction - Meet n' greet for new members,
News - Latest info from the board and other chapter announcements,
Upcoming Events - Discussion on the upcoming charity and other events,
Merchandise - Discussion about getting some ZS merchandise in,
The official stuff - Where we're at in formalising the chapter in the UK, etc.

It won't just be lunch. It will no doubt go on late and I would say a large portion of us will end up staying over night in Birmingham. Thats how it normally works anyway

Having said that, if my usual luck holds I'll be in quarantine or something ...

i went for the 24th.i've worked in blockbuster 4 years and i've never once had halloween off. i can try but its doubtful to be honest

I’ve voted for the 31st but so long as I have time to book my train ticket in advance either is fine really.

I don't mind, but I'd prefer the 24th. I might be having a halloween party at my house, and I'd prefer dave to be there, who else will drink the pub dry if not him?

Erm...I'll have to double check, I won't get back in til early september, I'll have to gauge the floorspace situation when I move back in.

I can sleep curled up on top of my bergan if I have to and I've done it before. I can sleep anywhere so I won't take up much space.

I Was considering this one; but I don't think I'd be able to afford it; so if anyone's interested; I found a room right across from Birmingham New Street Station for about £30.
