CSA (Chapter Supported Agriculture)

Are any of ya'll gardeners? Would you like to be? It's getting around toward the plowing time of year. Since I'm staying on the homestead, I hope to grow more of my own food this year. Maybe I'll be able to get a plow outfit for the tractor this year. If ya'll urban dwellers want to do the same thing, let me know and I'll bring over my Troy-bilt tiller if you want to borrow it. I will also be getting some yardbirds out here if I can get a henhouse built. Lot's of folks on here want to learn canning. We'll see about doing some of that later in the spring/summer. I've made craptons of jam and pickles. I've never used a pressure canner but that's because I don't have one. But I think we could all improve our homesteading skills and develop some new ones.

I picked up a pressure canner a while back, but haven't taken the time to use it yet. I'd be happy to drag it out if we want to do some canning at some point.
I started a small garden last year, but the accursed grasshoppers killed everything that saw daylight.

Count me in. Been gardening for about 3 yrs now. Sometimes I even get enough to make a meal

Really am starting to think about getting a canner. That is on the MUST MAKE IT HAPPEN list
