ZSC 016 Chapter Status

Hi folks!

There has been a lot of activity here in GA lately and I'm VERY pleased to announce that as of today ZSC 016 is officially alive again!

I would like to discontinue updates to the last "Chapter Update" thread because that was created approximately a year ago and some of that information does not apply anymore eg. discussion of chapter "regions." You can still read the thread, but its sticky status has been removed so it will just move on down as we have more recent topics.

Here is the current information, for anyone interested:

Officers:
Bayjove: President
Trekker04: Financial Officer
GunTotingHippy: Representative

If anyone has any questions about the chapter, activities, or anything at all, please contact one of us or feel free to start a topic in the forum for discussion. Suggestions/ideas are always welcome!

Any upcoming meetings, events, or volunteer activities will be posted as stickies at the top of the forum for easy reference.

Now let's move forward, kick some zombie ass, and show the Metro Atlanta community what we're made of!

Also, if you are new and want to be able to post to the ZSC016 forum, you just need to follow a couple of easy and quick steps.

1. After registration, go to Control Panel> Usergroups and scroll down the list under "Non-memberships" to find ZSC 016.

2. Click the button to the right of ZSC 016, scroll down, and make sure that the drop down menu at the bottom of the page says "Join selected" and hit submit.

You should then be instantly approved and good to go!

If you guys need any help with anything I will be glad to help out as much as I can.I am still currently in Hawai'i but will be back in the Newnan area hopefully within the next couple months. I really look forward to meeting everyone and plan on being highly active in our chapter

16 got revamped from all of Ga. to Metro Atl. ?

Where is the North East Ga. Chapter?

This is as of right now the only chapter in Georgia. Viking, where do you live? I'm in Ellijay if you have any clue where that is.

Hey Viking!

Yeah, we had a reorg of the chapter in March. They let us keep the number 016 but there is a new policy with ZS chapter naming that you can't have a whole state as a chapter anymore; the chapter can only have a 2 hour radius reach. We chose Metro Atlanta because it's huge and going out 2 miles from the furthest point would help us include the most people. As Trekker pointed out, he's in Elijay, which is the furthest north we have.

So you're back in GA now? I hope you can come out to the next meeting in May and jump back in!
