I am sure we will be discussing this at the next meeting of the Walton County Repeater Group (https://wc4rg.wordpress.com/ or https://www.facebook.com/groups/1066043030080902/) which is this Thursday evening (2-18-16) at 7:30 pm, at the Walton County Fire Rescue Headquarters. Which is located at 1000 Heritage Pkwy, Between, GA 30656. If you would like to volunteer ham radio services for this event it would probably be good if you could come to that meeting.

This was more of a skill oriented thing than a volunteer event. There is a calendar of events on the website. I did this one time and it was fun and enlightening. I only got lost a couple of times.

Fox Hunt versus Gwinnett Amatuer Radio Society (http://www.gars.org/w4gr/)
This will take place Sat, April 16, 10am – 4pm but there is no location listed on their website yet. I have contacted Kyle with GARS (kyle@kandka.com) to see if I can get more info.
For those who aren't familiar with fox hunting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transmitter_hunting
I do not have any equipment for this type of event so we would need to look into getting something. I have heard of guys buying kits and building them as a group but I have no more info on that at this time. I will see if Kyle can give me more info on that as well.
