Anthing special you would like to cover?

My wife (Kim, screen name kfendt) will talk briefly (5- 10 minutes + questions) about her experience so far with getting involved with local district ARES if you still desire. She has some information on how she got involved, the training needed and where to get it.

My offer to do a discussion or two on alternative energy sources is still valid. However, traveling on business this week, I could not be prepared by the 1st, but I could be for the next net. I figure this would be best done in 2 separate topics / separate nets. One on alternative energy at home (solar, wind, other generation for the house, selling back to the grid, do you need / want batteries, where to start, how to expand, permits, insurance, what to expect in real life, and such) and a 2nd on alternative energy on the go (bug-out, camping, travel, RVs, etc including how to save money, what to expect to be able to do and how much can/should you depend on it.)

If interested, please just let me know when and I will be happy to do a presentation / discussion, and take questions.

I may join in from Las Vegas, where I'll be vacationing with my sister...if not, I'll catch the next one...

This sounds GREAT sfendt! Whenever you are ready to do a lil presentation just let me know. I am looking forward to what Kim has to share!
So you know, I will be backpacking part of the Appalachian Trail Friday Night - Sunday around noon. I will be back in time for the net meet, but I won't be online for a couple of days.

Jamie: If we miss you on Sunday we will look forward to hammin' it up with you in a couple of weeks. Have a SAFE & FUN trip!
