Labor day is comming up fast and I haven't been out all summer, sad. Thought we could give this trip another try. Keep it as simple - just chill in the woods, explore Army base on Saturday or Sunday, go home. Oh, Labor day weekend is September 3-5.

Sharpe-Works for me.

Let's shoot for Labor Day weekend, and getting a commitment of 4-5 people for the trip, and then make it happen.

Same meet up at the National Forest, and then car pool to the base.

Broken record time...but I work weekends,Labor Day being particulary busy. Sounds like fun, but I'll have to bow out on this one. And I do love a good building hack,have fun abd take pleanty of pictures. 8-)

Sir Sharpe, Bunsen, Swoop- I need some definite "go or no go" on this so we can get a head count and decide if this trip is happening.

Me and mine are without power, and NYSEG has no crews in the area. We've been told to expect to be without power until "well into next week", so if this doesn't go down, no problems, I'll get out camping with the family unit, 'cause living without power is really starting to depress me.

I'm a go. I have no serious expectations other that to hang around the forest and check out an old army base; see how my new Casio Commando smartphone functions in the feild. Saturday afternoon - Monday morning sounds about good to me.

Red Cross has finally given OK to open a shelter, so I have to stay here to run it.

I stayed home and worked on my guide boat sailing rig. Which, as of yesterday, is finally functional.

Still have this trip on the to-do list.
