Free CPR Training in VA

Postby Anianna » Mon Jun 11, 2012 11:37 am

This is a readiness class, not a certification class, so I'm putting this in preps rather than First Aid. Feel free to move if necessary.

The original Great Day of CPR was held during the annual American Heart Association's National Week of CPR. During the first 3 years over 750 citizens were trained in Hands Only CPR. This year several area organizations have partnered to create the Central Virginia CPR Council. The Great Days of CPR will be held in June with a goal of educating between 3,000-5,000 in Hands Only CPR. We look forward to seeing everyone out there!

The classes are all in Richmond. Click the link above for locations and dates.

Thanks for the info!
Now to see if I can wrangle my schedule into making use of it. It's been more than a few years and I could use a refresher.

I got in touch with a training coordinator who is part of this non certification free CPR class and he said, "there is no minimum age for the training". So, I'll be taking my kids to learn CPR.

Also, he said the training is offered every half hour and runs for 30 minutes at a time. If anybody who would like to attend has questions, let me know and I will put you in touch with the training coordinator.
