raptor,

Could you post a pic of what this modern canned water looks like? I've never seen that before.

I keep four, 7 gallon Aquatainers filled in the basement, and rotate the water out every 6 months. Also have a couple bottles of bleach for any purification issues.

My water heater, I believe has 38 some gallons in it. I would like to find some additional 55 gallon or larger storage containers for water but am holding off till I move into a house that I own. A plus would be to find a house with a pool, but I'm really looking for a place with a wood burning fireplace, basement, and garage. Pool would a bonus for non-potable water storage.

I hear the water beds have anti-fungus chemicals in them that would be hazardous to your health if consumed.
Regards,

All it is is a 12 oz soft drink can with "DRINKING WATER" in black printed on it. It is simply a bare aluminum can without the soft drink logo. When you turn it over it shows the lot and canning date.

I have seen some that say bottled by Pepsi, Coke, Budwieser, miller coors, etc. each have slightly different variation of color and printing. For instance the Pepsi cans have slightly carbonated water.

I avoided posting a picture since the can has the bottler name on it. I thought it was unfair to them for any negative PR since they donated the goods and it was meant for immediate consumption.

Ahh thanks, I couldn't picture it before. Reminds me, I had bought a 12 pack of Chinese Beer, Sin Tao maybe, that was on sale for really cheap. Must've been really old as it too had that dirt flavor.

hey thnx! now i should add, we dont have canned water but we do have water in plastic bags, also juice in plastic bags... i have never seen the expiry date on any but i will post as soon as i get one in my hands.

the water in a plastic bag is awesome because its very very cheap, but as you can imagine a little hard to handle.
