Emergency preparedness tax free weekend in Texas
Just a reminder for folks in the Lone Star State.
April 27th through the 29th sales tax is waived on what the state has deemed emergency supplies.

Huh, that's neat.

Cool. All states should do this twice a year, & everyday with guns...

I don't think so? At least in the manner I believe you mean.
The CMP doesn't have to obey normal FFL requirements, but has their own set. A C&R or FFL license does quality for the activities requirement.

The C&R license is still 30 bucks, right ?boskone wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 3:16 pmI don't think so? At least in the manner I believe you mean.

If so, a C&R license may be in my future. I've been wanting to get one for years now and if I can score a Garand or other firearm from the CMP with a C&R license, I may just get one.

More states are also encouraging their citizens to buy precious metals, by lifting sales tax on bullion, as a hedge against the debasement of the dollar.
