I saw you had commented in my threads regarding these issues prior to starting this, and figured those had got yer wheels turning.
Highly. I forget the post. Can you link it for me cause now I'm curious.
Here's the one specifically: http://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/view ... 9#p2436809

And here's two threads I did, showingthe process for two of the other "WWID" answers:

We do not allow the discussion of scavenging, salvaging, finding, harvesting or in general taking property that is not lawfully already the property of the salvager or finder. These discussions fall under the category of looting within this forum.

I'm in the process of researching a solar/battery set up to run emergency lights and my CB base station. But what I really need make it a reality is money.

While touring a deep cavern, the grid wired lights go out, and the cavern battery lanterns fail.
Which would you prefer, a small LED flashlight, or no light?

Re solar p/v, I opine the situation is the same. Get a spare car battery, or a new deep cycle battery. Put even a 5 watt solar charger on it. You now have a worst case scenario of a means to use car charger devices to keep a cell phone, small radio, some LED lights, etc. ready to work for you.

Worry about the big, ideal system later.

Yeah, I cheat. So what.
Ooh, we can cheat?
