How i will survive in Brazil

Postby alc0h0l » Fri Apr 23, 2004 6:01 pm

Hello , i live in Brazil and if sometime the zombie horde breaks out i will get my car drive to an weapon shop , put all things i can in my car (ar-15 , glock , nightvision , hunter knife , militar cloths , etc...) later go to a airfield , stole an airplane , fly to Amazonian Florest , there is Huge and with lots of natural traps , rivers and mountains i doubt that zombies can got in the middle of it , there i would make a wooden little house with time , and survive hunting and fishing. Simple like that , solitaire but surviving.

Ps: sorry my english :/

Your english is fine, a lot better than some people who were born speaking it. I have some concern with your survival plan though, chances are weapon shops will be long raided and infested before you get to them, and airfields will be in complete chaos, also already raided and infested. The Amazon isn’t a bad place if you know how to survive there, though I sure don’t know how, so good luck with that.

Dont forget a dozen snake bit kits !

And a compass + GPS system !

Oh and you might wanna take an entire sack full of HEAVY DUTY water purifying blocks or invest in a PRO travel filter .

Keeping on top of your liquid intake inside a rainforest - on the move [ ? ] will be the main battle at hand i imagine .

Agreed... the compass is a must. However, don't get spoiled by your GPS device. Batteries don't last and the agencies that keep the satalites afloat may not be around.

I dont even own a GPS .

Actually i DID own one - but i left it with a friend in amerika when i came back home .

I much prefer the compass .

Just thought i would throw in a backup GPS seeing as how he is tracking through an amazonian rainforest . heh .

A GPS would have severe limitations with battery life though. Some survival courses and such would help, learn how to read and mark a map as you march through it, I'd say. Avoid major roads, be wary of vehicles, seemingly abandonedor otherwise.

As for your plan, I'd say pick that stuff up beforehand. Grab them on the way out, drive as far as you can away from the city and then go the rest on foot.

And don't worry about your English, it's fine.

Jeez I wish hunting and fishing were viable around here. It'd be far easier than farming.

If you could get to the ocean, even better. Water on one side, put a cliff on the other and you just have to keep watch up and down the beach. Steal a boat and moor it and you've got an easy escape.
