Just a reminder that there is a meeting in Toronto this Friday evening at Shoeless Joe's (Eglington/Laird) @ 6:00pm. Just meeting for a few hours, should be packed up by 8, but if people want to hang out afterwords and socialize a little longer there's nothing wrong with that.

There's a Canadian Tire on the South/East Corner with plenty of parking, or TTC accessible, so come on out.

Is anyone interested in meeting up at Silverdale Gun club for a range day? Even if you don't have a PAL, you are welcome....we just need to pair up PAL holders one-to-one with non-PAL holders.

I just got a shiny new Glock on Friday, my club in lead only, so I'd love to do an afternoon at silverdale. I was hoping to go down this weekend, if I get my registration in time. I believe anyone with a PAL can shoot there on weekends for $20 or something, you don't need to be a dues paying member.

Exactly. Even people with no PAL can do so as long as they are under the immediate supervision of someone who has one. I'd be happy to bring out some toys possibtly including: CZ-858, JR Carbine, SU-16F, ISSC Mk22 (FN SCAR Copy in .22) - lots of others to choose from too.

If you're ever in the Toronto area, or even Eastern Ontario, let us know, I'm sure a few of us would be willing to meet you somewhere.

I don't think I'm going to be able to make it down town. By the time I got home to Brantford, my poor dog would have been locked up for 15 or 16 hours and would be ready to burst. This weekend Sunday would be best for me to do the Silverdale thing. If you guys want to discuss it and arrange a time, I'm definitely in. Guest with a PAL can bring their own firearms and shoot for $20. No licensed guests can also shoot for $20 but must be paired one-on-one with licensed person. Other than that, it's just the usual safety rules.

I'd be very interested in this, depending on the dates.

I am non-PAL these days :(

That's ok...you can shoot as a guest with one of us who is licensed.

Hey all,
This PAL/Non-PAL Silverdale thing sounds great. I'm a non-PAL, and haven't fired anything for many years, so this is something I'm very interested in; however, I'll be a no-go for the summer, unfortunately. I'm a drummer in a pipe band, and it's competition season. Any weekends off from competitions or practice means family time
Still, nice of you guys to set this up. Maybe later.
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

Well, the registration for my new toy has yet to come in, so I'm going to have to decline for myself for Silverdale this weekend. I'll still inquire tonight at the meeting to see if others would be interested, I know at least one of the Toronto guys was asking me and Aleks some questions about the PAL course. If it doesn't happen this Sunday, some weekend soon for sure, and if all goes well, we can make a semi-regular event of it.

Making it a regular event would be outstanding. As I said, I am more than happy to share my toys and to introduce new shooters to the sport.

Mystic, we did. Is there an issue there? Also, we can still get volunteers in, just need to let me know ASAP.

I don't see any requests from chapter 003 in the approval queue. Just double-checked.

I'll PM you so we can follow up on this.

Regarding the Nov 10 range day....I am available to meet either in person or via telephone to plan this out. I've mentioned it to Seth at the club and they will accomodate us.

Bummer, I'll be in Texas then. I'd love to make it out to a range day, my stuff's been sitting in the safe for far too long. I should really de-cosmo the Type-56s so they're ready to go.

Stay tuned, our goal is to make this a quarterly event. Next one will probably be fairly chilly though.
