Thanks to engr_rn and jackal556 for teaching me how to join the forum. (Punching the Staples "That was easy button" into the concrete while I type.)
If anyone has not registered for the race yet, you can use the code of PITA004 to get 5 bucks off the price for the race. Every little bit helps. Full disclosure: I think I get a T-shirt for folks using that code. I could give a rat's ass about that. I did a little research on the folks behind the games and like this little small business. Veteran managed to and he incorporated a lot of his Navy SERE training into it. And I am all about helping Vets.
Have a great day.

If anyone had a problem using my code for this event, please let me know. There were a couple folks I personally know who had problems early on and some later in the registration period.
And by the way... who was that ZS dude in the green ZS shirt I shook hands with at the end of the race removing my chip? I was to dehydrated to talk long but wanted to say hi and thanks for your support.

There were at least 9 of us there, maybe more that we don't know about. The guy taking chips at the finish line was none other than Dr. Jest!! We got a picture of him at the end and he was covered in mud! Sorry the rest of us didn't get to see you. There were several of us out on the course in the zombie zone acting as course officials and helpers. Did you survive? And more importantly, did you have fun?

Greetings,
My apologies for not glad-handing all of you then. However, if any of you ran anywhere between 12:30 and 15:00... chances are you passed me somewhere along the way. You might not have noticed as I spent most my time humped over sucking albuterol. I was pretty engaged from the time I got off the bus sorting through the initial mass confusion out there. The actual course was extremely well run. I'll probrably blast a full review of my experience later when all my fingers are functioning again. Not all good but definitely not all bad.
Did I survive??? Ummm... I had two flags left on my belt when I met Dr. Jest there at the finish... could you clarify "survive?" (smile) But I think that was predominately because the zombies didn't want to have me die at their station.
Fun??? Because as an old dirty ass grunt, I have an odd definition of what fun is, I gotta say, yep... had a blast. I had a nice long walk and smoked some cigerrettes with some zombie dudes.
But please, if anyone had any issues using my code, do contact me. I ain't to pleased with how they handled a couple of those things and intend to ensure that my part in this was honored. Thanks.

engr-rn wrote:I was a zombie at the "official halfway point" (One of us had to point that out to all the runners after the volunteer left for a break) from about 2:30 till the end. Did see a guy pass with an inhaler. Maybe it was you. I was dressed in white scrubs and the zombie next to me had purple hair and was crawling on the ground most of the time with a flag in his mouth.
