Moving to STL!

Postby Tribunal Power » Wed Aug 03, 2011 10:20 am

My wife and I have been talking about it for a while, and after a visit last weekend, decided that we'll be moving to STL hopefully within the next couple months.

I look forward to meeting you guys and getting in on the ZS001 action in the future!

It's a pretty nice city with plenty to do. I think you'll enjoy yourself here. Keep us updated.

I've been to a lot of big cities and several 'major' cities in the country, and so far, STL is my favorite. I've wanted to move there for a while, and after the visit to my brother this past weekend, my wife fell in love with it the same way I did. We're super excited about moving and are hoping to be out there in a month or so.

I will definately keep you guys in the know.

My wife had a call returned for one of the jobs she applied at and it's looking good so far. We're getting antsy about moving and are really hoping this job comes through, so that we can move sooner rather than later!

In the meantime, call me naive but I'm really hoping to find an entry level position in security, private investigations, or law enforcement of some kind. I'm not picky, I just want to get into my preferred field while I'm young. Can anyone here help me with that? I just don't know where to start.

My eventual hope is to join the Metro PD, but that's a very long process, even IF I am selected after applying. If I can't find something in this field, then it's back to factory work for me :gonk:

Any help is appreciated!

Stay out of the north side and you will be OK.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Do you have any experience? Try the local hospitals, one of them always seems to be hiring for security.

No experience, looking for something entry level. And thanks, I'll check the hospitals.

I'll ask around but probably can't come up with anything good that isn't on the East side of the river. Best I can recommend is looking in the papers or calling some of the smaller PDs to see if they're hiring.

I recently started doing a part time LEO job just across the river myself. It's probably costing me more than it's costing them since I have to buy all my duty gear, but hey, I can go armed over there too, so I consider it a worthwhile investment.

The casino's are always hiring security too, most contract security around here sucks for the most part unless you get assigned to a large contract, like Pinkerton has Boeing. Hospitals, casino's and any large companies with their own security dept are best bets.

Made the move today! :D

No luck on the job front, though. Going back to factory work may soon become necessary unless I get something going in this field. If anyone has any exploitable connections, let me know.

Look, I don't want to make waves but, shouldn't we just take the warning labels off everything and let nature sort itself out?

Give blood? Heh... I don't do so well with needles. But if you guys need a hand with the drive, just let me know and I'll see what I can do!

And you bet you're ass I'll be there to watch TWD. Looking forward to it!

I think someone mentioned this already but if you go to lumierejobs.com they have job postings for Lumiere Casino and River City Casino. I'm a dealer at Lumiere and I see new security all the time, if you don't mind checking IDs and kicking out drunks.

Yeah, we can always use help with the drive, or just you know, hang out and eat burgers and hot dogs.
