Travel section?

Post by theclockwork » Tue Aug 29, 2006 6:18 pm

You know I was thinking there are like 2000 of us all over the world, and as a whole, we in general do a lot of traveling. I can think of at least 4 members who left there homes to another continent last month alone. And we have a load of folks who go over seas for service related reasons.

So why don't we start a thread or section where we can post things that we learn about in our travels, like good places to eat, places to stay, Parts of the city to stay out of, what not to say to who. Lets face it if something happens to your home like NOLA, your going to be on the road for a while.

Does anyone else like this idea or am I barking up the wrong tree here.
Zoë: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing?
Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

Seeing as how I am joining the Army and will probably get shipped out after all of my training, that and I like travel, I am all for it.

Sounds good here. I travel overseas @ least once a year. The best advise is not gained through travel guides but through people with similiar interests!!

I think this is a good idea.
I've traveled quite a lot over the years, to many countries, and I'm more than happy to throw what ever I can into this bubbling pot of info.

Want to know how to bribe Romanian border guards, or get on the good side of the Bulgarians? Good places for steak in Belgium? Great places to drink in Amsterdam? What to do when caught speeding in Holland?

... I have all of these things and more :D

Well someone needs to talk to a mod about getting it done I guess, who would be best to ask?

We aren't all THAT bad...

I will look into it.

BTW- It would take Admin abilities to make a forum.

I want to run it by first, but I don't see a problem with it.
