What is your favorite beer OR what are you currently trying?

For all your pre- and post-PAW food and beverage recipes. Just because it keeps you alive doesn't mean it shouldn't be tasty.

My all time favorite is Pelforth Brune, to the best of my knowledge unavailable in the US.

I prefer malty and/or dark beers and brown ales myself.

Some of my favorites are:

Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar
Turbodog
Gulden Draak
Sam Adams Wee Heavy
Belhaven's Scottish Ale and Wee Heavy
Black Isle Brewery's Organic Export Scotch Ale though the Heather Honey Ale was good too.
Brewdog Paradox, most all of them except for Smokehead. Dogma is pretty good too.

I brew my own beer and make a pretty mean Imperial Russian Coffee Stout. I also make a Scotch Ale aged with toasted hickory chips, it tastes like bacon!

You should mass produce that. It would sell almost as well as actual bacon

Recently I have been drinking too much Lagunitas Lil Sumpin' Ale. It's a great warm weather ale, not too heavy when toiling in the sun.

That does sound good. Scotch ales generally taste like bacon, at least a little: it's from the malt they use. The hickory chips sound like a tasty addition.

It's one of my favorite continually being brewed recipes. I've been tweaking it for almost a year and think I have it down perfect now.

Used to make floats by pouring dark stouts or dopplebocks over vanilla ice cream.

Another vote for Alaskan Amber, since I am currently TDY in Fairbanks. Tasty stuff.

Generally though, Samuel Adams Boston Lager or Redhorse. Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier is pretty tasty too.

My favorite is anything that tastes good. :D

My regular "go-to's" are Yuengling and Blue Moon, lately.

Every once in a while I get a hankering for Guinness Extra-Stout, and I'm on the lookout for Guinness Black Lager. Hasn't shown up around here yet.

Newcastle Brown Ale. When I really want to enjoy myself, that's what comes out.

Following that comes a short list of Norwegian beers (most of them from the same brewery) and naturally Kilkenny and Guiness.

I haven't tried Warsteiner's yet, I'll have to track some down.

Hacker-Pschorr also puts out a great Oktoberfest.
