Please feel free to come here and post how your deals went down. Include condition of item(s) received as well as how promptly they arrived and how they arrived(UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc.). Method of payment and how easy/hard it was to transfer funds. Item(s) traded/sold as well as communication between seller and buyer.

Thank you for allowing me to post how my deal went. I will be sharing my experience with Liberty45. The item in question is a Glock 19 barrel.
My feedback will be somewhat comprehensive, but truthful.

Payment was made through Paypal. I say transfer of funds was extremely easy. Payment was made in less than 5 minutes.

Image

Condition of item? Seller claims the item is "new." But I don't know, I never received the barrel.
Almost two weeks after I paid for the barrel, and still haven't received it.
No barrel, no explanation, nothing!

Communication with seller? Very good, until payment was made. After I sent payment through Paypal, I haven't heard from him since.
I sent him multiple PMs 10 days after payment was made. He received my PMs, but refused to reply.
I then decided to file a dispute with Paypal. It was only then when I received a reply from seller.

CLEAR CUT wrote:This thread is open to both sellers and buyers. We'd like to know how well people go about conducting their business.

Main Entry: dead·beat
Pronunciation: \ˈded-ˌbēt\
Function: noun
1 defaulter: someone who fails to meet a financial obligation
2 a lazy person; a person who defaults on his debts

The seller is a deadbeat in every definition of the word. Seller failed to meet his obligation, and he was too lazy to inform me of the delay.

Seller attempted to reason why he didn't send the item. He said it was because of family illness. This seems fair.
However, when viewing the posts, it became clear that seller was lying.

Image

Image

So, the item was shipped on Thursday August 13th? And it wasn't sent earlier because father was in hospital? The time frames mentioned in each post contradict each other.
Hmm... Well, whatever his story is...I do hope the father is doing better now.

A buyer's responsibility ends when payment is made. Period. The seller's responsibility is to send the item when he says he'll send it. In the event there is a delay, the seller should be responsible to contact buyer with an update. Why should the burden be placed on the buyer, after he fulfilled his obligation?

Usually when payment is made on Paypal, the seller includes the tracking /delivery confirmation number in the transaction. This number protects both the seller and the buyer.
In my case, the seller claimed he had a tracking number. But refused to either post on Paypal or send through PM.
This can only be described as shady.

CLEAR CUT wrote:Keep post within this thread On Topic. All posts not pertaining to dealings in The Trading Post will be deleted. I'm sorry my first transaction here on Zombie Squad was a disaster! There will always be a few rotten apples in every barrel, YMMV.
Nothing personal against Liberty45. I'm sure he's a good person, but his way of doing business is lousy.

I still look forward to having future transactions with other members of the board. As a buyer, I will make payment immediately when price has been agreed upon. And as a seller, I will ship item when I say I will. If I am personally unable to, I will have someone else ship it or a PM/email will be sent explaining why. Lastly, tracking numbers will always be given. It seems like this should be without saying, but some people need to hear it again.

For references, please refer to Glocktalk and Gunbroker. My feedback is nothing but positive. Handle is the same.

I bought a rifle and ammo off Matt through ffl and it worked very quickly and it is exactly what I was looking for. Great description too.

I received the USGI all-weather sleep system (in nifty digi-cam) yesterday afternoon from liberty45. They came exactly as specified, clean, and very quickly.

(except that Foliage Green and Olive are a bit of an exaggeration for what is really more like faintly greenish mostly grey - but hey, no one ever accused the .mil of being fashion conscious  )

I had a very easy time dealing with liberty45 on this purchase, and would buy from him again without hesitation.

Cheers!
