Misc stuff: USGI Bivy, Maxpedition Monsoon, Gander pack FS

Post by DaveJohns » Thu Jun 04, 2009 6:42 pm

Selling a few things, I will be updating this pretty often over the next week or two, as I dig through my gear closets.

Gander Mountain pack in Realtree camo. A little less "mil" than some of the other offerings, it works well in "civilian situations" (i.e. just going camping) I really like all the extra outside pockets - it helps to sort out and stow all the important gear in its own externally accessable pocket. The big pocket on the left can hold hiking poles, tent pegs, or (as I have done) a pair of 1L water bottles. With room to spare.

Image

the pack has a full hipbelt with 2 pockets built in. This is really a nice backpack, meant for longer treks. Only getting rid of it because, well, I am broke.

Here is a pic with most everything loaded, but the hatch still open, so to speak. Gives a nice view of how easy it is to get to everything.

And finally, Pack closed up, tent strapped on and ready to go..

Image

Pack weighs in at just under 5 pounds, and is approximately 4000cu in. $50 shipped.

Maxpedition Monsoon single strap pack. The write up on Maxpeds site has all the pesky details, here's a few pics.

Asking $60 shipped. The pack is as-new, no scuffs, marks or other signs of use. This thing is bulletproof!

My Paypal acct is screwed up, so Money orders/checks/well wrapped cash will have to work this time around.

Please note: Shipped prices assume continental US. If you life in Canada or elsewhere, please contact me to calculate extra shipping costs, if any. Thanks!

I'll take seconds on the Bivy if the buyer falls through.

Off topic: What kind of guitars do you own? I see a few guitar stands in the Bivy bag picture

Right now my collection is pretty low, i.e. none. I just sold my Spector Euro5 bass, it was the last one out the door. Life sucks.

The pack isn't Mossy Oak camo... that's Realtree AP. Just wanted to give you a heads up on that...

Good deal on the pack though.
