That bike is sweet man, and somehow I got confused thinking it was a bicycle, whoops. The camo looks good.

Absolutily amazing man. I have been thinking of giving up on my Blazer Bov but seeing the work you have into yours, rekindled my aggression to get her done lol. I just put a lower temp thermostat, new rad hoses, and high flow water pump on mine and have been running it around to make sure the systems good before i put te skid plates back on lol. I have too much work into it already to stop now. Lol I want a solid axle conversion on it. Then a wild lift but as for practicality, just a 2-3" lift for now. You have me some ideas I wanna try though... Harbor frieght here I come lol

Absolutely fabulous! Ive got an '82 Blazer with 6.2l Ive been working on myself... awaiting the cash to rebuild the trans right now, sigh...

Id suggest a 4" lift kit on that puppy, that would be a significant mod giving much better off road performance, AND it will look good as hell!

Re: Regulators BOV (pic heavy) Updated Dec 2012!

Well I’ve gotten a bit done on the beast this summer. Figured I’d post up some new pics. Put new tires on her, 33x12.50’s again. I had hoped to upsize to 36’s or so but had a chance to buy these used but new mounted on rims for $600. The sellor didn’t realize the rims were Centerline Hellcats. I bought ‘em, sold the rims alone for $400, lol. New rubber $200, nice

I wired up the remote inverter and and battery isolator.

Set it up to run an outlet in the truck.

Where the ashtray used to be. Fold down 110 power.
Image

Also installed 2 electric fans to reduce engine drag, cool better and they are able to be switched of if I have to do a deep water crossing. I imagine having a fan blade slice through your radiator would suck.

My plan has been to bed line the sides. Here it’s being prepped for that. Sanded down and primed with adhesive primer.

I’ve heard good things about the U-POL Raptor liner and chose to use it. It is a two part epoxy and dries to a hard finish much like Line-X. Easy to use but shit does stick, watch your overspray.

Four coats later we had this. Not quite an 1/8” thick but a nice coat. Now is the time to trim up your seams and such as this stuff gets very hard. Once cured you have trouble cutting it with a razor knife.

Did inside the door jambs and the underside of the doors as well.

On to prepping and priming the rest of it. I took it down to bare metal or good original primer and then sprayed it with adhesive primer.

Once that was cured I rolled it with adhesive primer. I wanted a thick durable coat of primer. A foam weenie roller did the trick and also left a nice rough texture to the surface. My neighbor sat on his porch drinking beer and watched me roll paint onto my truck. I’m sure he thinks I’m crazy, lol.

Image

At any rate, I’m pretty pleased with how it has turned out thus far. I still need to do the hood and then see about real paint, but that’ll be next summer maybe. Here’s how she looks currently.

excellent job with the fiberglass. she's coming along. I can turn a wrench with the best of them, but I wish I had some of your fabrication skills. Props.

Any specs on the 350/350 combo? I may have missed them. I have a 350HO crate engine, custom torque converter, and 3.42s in my camaro. she moves off the line nicely.

keep up the good work!

I like it, keep up the good work. Have you thought about taking the carpet out and bedlining the whole floor pan? Makes it easier to clean and the bedliner acts as sound damper.

So, have you thought about having a trailer to go along with this rig? it would greatly increase the amount of stuff you can carry if you end up having to take more than just yourself in the Blazer.
