Well I pulled most of the window mechanism out. Now I am going to have to try to find one on ebay. Not sure I can fix the little bits that are wrong with it. Started to pull the carb off too, but didnt have the energy. Plus I got to thinking that I need to clean the motor off before I pull the carb.

I measured the seats and have started looking for possible replacements. Might be cheaper to replace than to recover them. Just trying to keep this thread alive because the idea is a good one.

Flushed and refilled radiator and replaced spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap, etc.

Transmission service, differential service (front & back), coolant flush, and an alignment to finish it off. Nothing glamourous but well worth the money to keep it in working order.

Forgot to add oil change and new wiper blades.

-Brake Inspection; Bought good pads (EBC Green) but NAPA rotors since I was afraid to order rotors via mail, but the NAPA rotors are glazing over and are just bringing crappy braking performance. If I brake check hard a few times to get the pads hot, performance is much better, but they squeal a little, but I'm suspecting it's rotors. Going to get some good EBC ones sometime soon
-New Serpentine Belt (Gates)

-Tire Pressure check
-Ordered new lug nuts from Lee's; the ones I've replaced with NAPA or Autozone Duracrap have caps that keep falling off, these are solid ones
-Greased zerk fittings on front end
-Tested belt tension; tensioner good, belt tread depth good, but belt is at 60lbs, when it should be near 120-140lbs. Attributed to squealing when temps are ~<20*F

K&N Intake, ARB Recovery Strap, WARN Hitch Tow Shackle, and 2 Scepter cans should be rolling in throughout next week.

Those 33's look BA man! You're the one who got me onto www.cherokeeforum.com from looking at your build thread and seeing the bumper sticker. :)

Well the money I had started saving for my light bar and a few other odds and ends went towards getting brakes fixed. Between two and a half jobs and trying to spend time with the wife I just don't have time or the space really to fix it. Not to mention its freezing cold outside. So there went 400 bucks towards rear brakes.... :( Oh well at least I can stop.

Last week I picked up a set of goodyear wranglers to use as rollers until I get the lift. Worked out details on lift shipping from Toledo.

Today the new fuel pump arrived so Saturday I will lower the tank, replace the rubber hoses back there, and install the mechanical fuel pump. This is on a 74 Jeep Wagoneer.

This week I found an older hatchback for my wife. The car she had was a cheap temp vehicle, and it was falling apart. She has the same basic car as I drive now, just a year older and hers is all stock.

The chrome knobs on the stereo are so cooler than anything that's "retro" could ever be.

it's a 1979 Mustang Pace Car.

302, auto, Recaro seats, and 84,000 miles! It needed a few little things, but she drives it to work every day now.

Temp sensor, air filter, headlight switch, dome light bulb, floor mats, flush and fill on the coolant, and a battery hold down thing. New thermostat goes in tomorrow.

The tires are okay, but it has metric rims. the tires (if you can find them) are around $400. EACH
So I got a set of 1987 mustang GT rims, and new tires go on tomorrow. Not sure what I'll do with the old Michelin TRX rims yet. Maybe make a coffee table...

Most of the parts on this car are cheap and easy to source. I am familiar with the vehicle type, and most of the parts will match what's on the car that I drive.
Have you ever looked around at the group of people you are in and thought, "If the Zombie Apocalypse happens right now, this is what I have to work with."
