There will be no crying in this thread.

Except for Doc Simon when I kick his ass, then he can cry.

A bit hypocritical there?

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I always see mod's locking threads because they go off topic, but what makes this one so special?

I have nothing further to say, as that would make my point invalid.

Lets get this thread back on track:

This bag is pretty damn stacked for a combat medic...but here's the kicker: I'm a civie.

Enjoy:

Image
The bag itself is a STOMP II made by London Bridge Trading Company.

Image
Front

Image
Left Side. Note the attachment points: no idea what I'm going to do with those yet.

Image
Back. This thing even comes with a chest and waist band.

Image
Right side (mirrors left)

Image
Image
Top. Note the two compartments, lug handle and adjustments.

Image
Bottom (big holes are for drainage)

Image
Front flap open.

Image
Close up of loops. Basically this section is full of retention loops of all sizes. There is also a zippered compartment and 4 holding cells which I'll display later.

Image
Close up of the bigger loops section. Here's what you're looking at:
7 rolls of Kerlix and one SAM splint (left to right)

Image
This is the right side of the loop system, starting from the smallest loops working my way to the right:
5 pens
2 Sharpie Black Markers (fine tip)
1 Sharpie Blue Marker
1 Pen light
1 Sharpie Black Marker with fine point and chisel point.
2 Large NPA's
1 Medium NPA
2 EPI Pens
1 C.A.T. Tourniquet

Image
Left side of the smaller loops:
3 NPA's
2 EPI Pens
2 C.A.T. Tourniquets

Image
Underside of the looped compartments.
Underneath the loops shown above is a 4 celled, expandable system.
This section is perfect for holding
-7 Israeli bandages (better known as the IZZY) bandage
-1 ACE Bandage (which I've removed to help the bag close.

Image
Close up of cell system.

Image
Underneath the loop structure, underneath the Kerlix is a small zippered compartment that's just big enough for:

Image
-2 Spare Israeli Bandages
-2 Spare C.A.T. Tourniquets (not exactly sure if I'll leave this section as is or modify its contents.

Image
Underneath the main lid of the bag you'll find two mesh covered zippered pouches.

Image
Here's the first pouch: can you guess what's inside yet?

Image
-7 rolls of 3M tape
-6 ACE bandages in 3 different sizes

Image
Inside the opposite pouch you'll find:

Image
-2 SAM Splints
-2 Large Quik Clot Packets (Granular)
-3 Rolls of 3M tape

Image
This is a view of the main compartment of the bag.

Image
Here's the underside of the middle compartment that's connected to the lid of the bag. You'll see two pouches here.

Image
Here's a view of the opposing side of the central compartment.

Image
Closeup of the previously shown zippered compartment.

Image
Pouch opened.

Image
Details of the interior which include:
-Finger Splint
-Forceps
-2 White 8 Hour Lightsticks
-Ring Cutter
-Scissors
-Buncha bandaids
-Buncha #4 silk sutures
-2 Open and toss scalpels
-Roll of 3M tape
-2 Tampons

Image
Underneath the lid of the pouch is another zippered mesh pouch containing:

Image
My medications to include:
Asprin
Non-Asprin
Benadryl
Moltrin
Immodium
Cough Medicines
Anti-Acids
Neosporin
Anti-Fungal
Topical Anteceptic
Alka-Seltzer
Several rehydration aids
Razor

Image
Underneath the padded cell is a compartment for IV solution bags (basically it's a large bag with draw strings and buckles to keep your IV's secure).

Image
Inside the above chamber.

Image
I borrowed these IV bags from an EMT friend of mine. For the demonstration I've shown how you're supposed to fast pack your IV's so, in the event that someone needs one, you can readily grab everything you need to administer an IV on the spot.
What you're looking at is:
-2 Catheters
-2 Alcohol Prep Wipes
IV Tubing
1000ML of Lactated Ringers
Grobes
Penrose Drain (used as a tourniquet)
Tape to secure it all (when, if removed properly, can secure the catheter)

Image
Back of bag

Image
Side

Image
Here's the back of the main cell. What you're looking at is two zippered mesh pouches, three slit pouches and two removable pouches (note the red and blue handles) for various gear. Their original intent was an airway kit and an injectibles kit, but I'm modifying them slightly. More to come once I figure out what to put in here.

Image
Closeup

Image
Inside the first zippered pouches I have
-2 Large Abdominal Bandages
-2 Regular compression bandages

Image
Here's a shot showing off the top removable pouch I've yet to fill up.

Image
Underneath the pullout compartment a system of dual slit pouches. As it stands I have in them
-5 large Isareli Bandages
-3 ACS's

Image
Displaying the removable airway kit and zippered pouch above containing:

Image
-8 Cravats
-2 Rolls of Coban

This is a bit of a placeholder until I update tomorrow...Ben and I were busy today, but I organized and put everything that I wanted into my FAK and Trauma bags...I'll photo the contents manana...

Image
This is my old Fak and Trauma bag
(not really, but the old one is much smaller, and is now relegated to EDC status...if you really want to, you can look at it here)

Image
My new and improved FAK lives in a Mountainsmith pack...

{in the foreground you can my cheagle looking on, calmed by the prospect of flawless victory}

Image
As you can see, my model can support the weight of the loaded bag without a problem...

Image
My Trauma bag is a companion piece to the FAK, designed with more serious breaks and leaks in mind...

I'll show off the loadout tomorrow...in the meantime you can pencil in my name in the award...pm me for the correct spelling

I think if Gunny is retarded enough to not go to the ER after his fall that he should be automatically disqualified from any med themed contests.

Meh, it's the throwdown thread, pretty much stated at the beginning that this is a less serious and more fun based discussion. I'm sorry I've yet to post my earth shattering pics, I didnt have the net for the last few days, and the comps here dont like to upload pics. This pretty much seems to be on-topic with the OP and fits well within the general section of the forum we are posting in. Not only that but this is about the first fun thread I've ever seen on first aid. Which I think falls in line with the views of the ZS organization. Making disatered preparedness appeal to a new crowd by making it fun. First aid is one of the least trafficed sections, and is likely one of the most important. Having a few fun threads might bring a few more people around, and thus might save a few more lives. That is something I will support by talking a little shit to these pukes and their weak ass first aid kits.

I dont always ride in medevac choppers (though on a very rare occasion I do) I just get this beast:
Image

And if I am having to roll to the CASH the inside might look like this:
Image

Notice the fold back shot gun seat so i can turn around and treat my patient. Also, the gun turret which is remote controlled. I think there was something about this in the Geneva Convention...?

Image
In case I need to haul four litter patients I can always go with this.

This is my preventative medicine training:
Image

None of you have balls if you dont try at least once to endure what you will put patients through:
Image

I am just getting warmed up. Using old stock photos of me, the ones of win are still delayed.
