I noticed a really nice looking logo for ZSCOMM, what are the chances of HQ stocking the patch so we HAM's can obtain one?

I think it's pretty slick, but embroidered patches are kind of expensive. A short run of T-Shirts would be more reasonable though. It would be a 4 color print on a black T-Shirt to do it right.

If that's the logo you mean, ZSHQ has granted us permission to use it, but set limits on how it can be used. Before reproducing it on any article I'd suggest requesting permission from them.

I wonder about the practicality of using the image for making pins...I've seen them more reasonably priced for smaller quantities...I'd be interested!

Check out "emblem enterprises inc" I've had EMS, FD, & police patches done though them before. They were reasonable, as long as you did the minimum order, they did great work.

I'll just reiterate, while ZSHQ has approved the graphic they have not yet approved any particular vendor to make patches or decals. I strongly suggest checking with them before having anything made.

Okay, the way this works (getting merch made) is that you should come up with a design and a plan for how many articles you want to have made, and take a specific request to the chapter liason (chapters@zh) that looks like 'We'd like to make 50 4" round patches with the ZSARC logo, using these guys, as a group buy for our members' .

the Chapter liason will take it back to the guy who approves logo usage and tell you when its approved.

Whomever is running the group guy should take point on getting the approvals. It's not hard, we do it all the time in 001.
