Yup, I am a proud new owner of a near mint FT-100. I got it for a very decent price on Ebay, and it is my first radio. While I really wanted to get a FT-897d, this one is a nice compromise being that it is still an all band all mode radio that I can take mobile. Now I just need to get some antennas together and I can use my license that I have had on my wall for 8 months, but have done nothing with.

I played around with an FT-100D at field day a few years ago. Seemed to be a real nice radio.

Wow that is an awesome first radio. I'm using an old Kenwood TS-430s.

Well, I wanted a radio that would be awesome. If I wanted to do 2m or 6m SSB, I wanted the capability =). Buy once cry once.

I've run a '100 for almost 10 years with no problem. Great first rig; congrats.

Got it from FedEx today, went to Ham Radio Outlet and got a power supply and a 2/6m antenna.

It's been nearly 2 years...how's the FT-100 working out?
