Ooooo! This is a good one!
http://www.amazon.com/Weekend-Homesteader-May-ebook/dp/B004Y04GVQ?SubscriptionId=AKIAIWRYGV3WVC2SBITA&tag=JOYBIL-20&link_code=as3&creative=373489&camp=211189

Do you dream of homesteading but only have a bit of time each weekend to work on your projects? This ebook series introduces a simple but powerful project for each weekend of the year to start you off on the path to self-sufficiency. May projects include:
Planning your summer garden (with tips on the easiest vegetables to grow)
Making a kill mulch (and why no-till gardens are healthier)
Planting your summer garden (with information on when and how to plant)
Making a rain barrel (to collect free water for your garden)
Turning off your TV (and finding time for what really matters)
The author draws on her years of experience homesteading to make each project cheap, easy, and fun.

Lol, "Oyster Toad fish" it's also been called Dog fish, ugly toad, oyster cracker, etc, depending on who's fishing. Brought it home one day after fishing to show the kids... It's kinda like a big ugly, slimy, toothy(?), pacman of the sea...

I'm looking for a website that had a bunch of instruction books for the 18th century pioneer who was heading into the woods. They were fantastic but apparently I forgot the URL...any ideas? I want to say I originally found it here but my search skills suck.

Hey brother, your compost and solar panel links are the same. :D

Here is the compost link:

I looked for it as I must be doing something wrong with my compost pile. It smells like a dead body!

Opps, bad copy and paste

From what I've picked up, the smelly compost comes from not enough air/aeration. Try turning it more often maybe? Lots of moisture maybe - drain some (save the juice)...
Mine has done the smelly thing a time or 2, and a good mixing/dry out seem to get it back in the groove...
