I'd go so far as to ship you some Orange Osage (around here it's called Bodark from Bois D'arc fence post already split into 4 staves if you finish posting this.

I have actually dug the bow stave out of the shed, and brought it to Cambridge, but I haven't had a chance to work on it yet.

How do you figure out how long your bow string should be?

You now need to hammer in Nails, the distance between the nails will be the distance of the string. The Distance should be the Length of your bow, plus another 20".
