Poncho: yea or nay? Or maybe just one of those dollar store emergency ponchos?
I ain't bringing one because I figure I'll be drenched either way.
I'm either going to be hot, and covered in sweat, or I'll be rained on and covered in water. Either way I'm just gonna keep a towel in a dry place near my tent.
Then I remembered how little space they take up, and that there's one in my truck anyways 'just in case'... so maybe I will.

I'm freakin' giddy.
Just checked most of my gear for function. I even have my new "self-inflating" mat out. Had my nephew test it out under his sleeping bag, on the living room floor, for comfort when he came down to visit for memorial day with the rest of my family. Now I'm just making sure it holds air.
One thing I need is something for uh... slippage control. Last time I slept on unevan or sloped ground, my sleeping bag had a tendency to slide on my nylon tent floor. It has a shitty rubber padding to it that is supposed to increase friction but eh... I need something better fo sho. Especially with adding another layer of nylon material, with the sleeping pad.
Idears?

GPS coordinates and the location of the site is released only to those attending ZCON. It is private property and we do our best to keep it "private" at the owners request.
Hope you can make it out one of these years!

Shelf liner. The rubberized shelf liner stuff that can be bought in a roll at a dollar store. Worked fine for me to keep my air mattress from slipping.

You know me, and 3 others from ZSC:023 are carpooling

...and thanks to you, again, crypto, for making it so that step #1 is no longer "bust your left nut carrying jerrycans of water up the Big Damn Hill from Manbath."
